Okay so imma be honest...
The patch gutted mcginnis's gun, and the only really viable build right now is her ult.
So... I have some suggestions on how to make her gun feel good again
1) turrets
"Wait this is a gun build, why are you starting with turrets?"
Well the issue with the current state of turrets is that they are not much more than quicksilver reload/ mercurial magnum food. And its not the issue of the turrets themselves.
They just take too much time commitment to roll out.
So what if we could throw the turrets down faster ? If they had a 0.5s delay like wraith's cards, they would be much more usable as an OH SHIT extra source of dps, while still requiring some thought to not die immediately to an AoE.
They still got a solid cooldown so you can't abuse it too much and it makes more sense for a gun build to go build its gun, instead of spamming spirit with MM/QSR because its the only viable way to get damage rn
2) the gun
Just give her a Negev lol...
No im serious, the biggest problem of GunGinnis right now is kill confirms. The damage falloff and spread is really harsh in a game where the half of the roster enemy can press a button and just leave your effective range.
Giving her intensifying accuracy, effective range (and maybe a damage ramp up?)
Would solve a lot of it, while still keeping the spinup deliberate.
The other thing is to make her scale better with orange items (maybe the damage ramp up could be a multiplier to your damage modifier) . Again, right now most of the roster spams spirit so it would be good to make someone less reliant on it, and prevent her turrets being obnoxious
3) the wall
Make it do more burst damage on hit... Pleaaaase its the only kill confirm tool we have
4) other abilities
The healing is in a good spot
The ult is slightly overtuned, but otherwise good.
