Ranks bugged

I think the rank system need a complete revamp, I can play 10+ game where I win in a row and my rank remains completely the same, I have a 58% win rate and wont climb. The people in my party level up even when I am playing in lobbys above my own skill level. I contribute to winning by either fragging or taking towers but in the last 80+ games my rank remains exactly the same. Have the developers addressed this? If it was a skill issue I am fine with that but how can my party be climbing while I stay the same.

The generally accepted explanation is that there is a large MMR pit under [BRONZE 4] and that you are climbing but it is not reflected in the medals because there is just like a thousand MMR down there.
