Rank stuck at Initiate II for 200+ games — no movement despite positive WR, normal duo progression, and external MMR placement multiple tiers higher

Summary

My rank has not moved from Initiate II for over 200 games. Win rate is positive, my regular duo partner's rank has progressed normally over the same period, and an external MMR analysis places me several tiers higher than my displayed rank. This appears to match other reports on these forums describing rank freezes specifically in the Initiate bracket.

Evidence this is a rank-update bug, not deserved rank

  1. Win rate is above 50% over the full sample. Performance trend is not negative.
  2. Statlocker places me at Seeker I based on actual match performance — that's a multi-tier gap from where the client displays me.
  3. My duo partner has progressed normally. I play ~90% of my games with my brother, in the same lobbies, on the same outcomes. He is now Seeker I. If both of our ranks were updating correctly, we should be roughly tracking each other given how much we queue together. Instead his rank has moved and mine has not at all.
  4. Sample size. 200+ games is far past the point where any reasonable rating system should have converged on actual MMR.

Expected behavior

Rank updates based on performance and outcomes over a meaningful sample of games.

Actual behavior

Rank has been frozen at Initiate II for the entire 200+ game sample, despite positive WR, normal duo progression for my partner, and external MMR placing me at Seeker I.

Happy to provide match IDs, screenshots, or any additional data that would help diagnose this.

Thanks.

Regarding your Initiate 2 account: firstly, placement matches place you however the hidden mmr does its thing. Now that you're ranked each rank up subdivision (initiate 2-->3) requires anywhere from 5-10 net positive wins. You currently have 104 wins and 102 losses, so 2 net wins (wins minus losses). So to verify it's a bug, you will need to come back with 5-10 net wins and show that you're still initiate 2. But to be honest, it's likely not a bug.

What likely happened to your alt is your placement matches put you higher, and with 2 net wins you're likely to hover around there unless you reach certain game-understanding milestone(s). Also all victories are not rewarded equally, sometimes some matches give more elo than others, same with losses. Good luck.
