Puppet character archetype for deadlock

Puppet master she controls a puppet to help her fight in the cursed apple.

She throws knives as her primary fire but her bullets disappear after a certain range like drifter.
She is short ranged and uses her puppet to extend her effective range.
Her alternate fire summons a puppet (it comes out as a fast projectile; activating alt fire again summons it. activate again to undo summon. )
Her primary fire becomes the puppet throwing knives when its summoned.
She stabs as her melee, and the puppet will mimic it when summoned.
The puppet has an effective range when summoned same as her normal range it has an circle indicator on the ground on where it can attack.
Her puppet mimics her movement and can move with her.
She shares her soul with her puppet therefore she also gets damaged when her puppet gets shot. (puppet has extra bullet resistance to balance it)
Her puppet will melee instead if its summoned it.
Her puppet will mimic parry.
Her puppet has the same stats as her base damge and will proc any items and ability.

I am using ai to illustrate my ideas because I do not have any skills regarding drawing.

Her puppet kinda looks like this:

She keeps it on her waist. (It can expand in size)
It keeps hidden a bunch of arms with knives under the robe

Abilities :

1 - Spinning knives - she throws knives in a all directions, if her puppet is out then it will do it instead. It is a charged ability.
2 - Reposition - she pulls herself to the puppet. Alt cast pulls the puppet close to her
3 - Blood Frenzy - She gains bonus fire rate it has a passive which causes bleed damage that scales with spirit ( it also does spirit damage)
4 - Abduction - Her puppet abducts an enemy dealing damage over time. While they're imprisoned puppet master can throw knives at the puppet to damage the enemy, and all bleed damage are dealt instantly after imprisonment. she can only cast it near where the puppet is.

her 4 kinda looks like the abductor virgins in elden ring

The puppet opens up inside the robe of the puppet are multiple limbs with knives and the enemy sees this before they are swallowed.

I have been reading a lot of puppet ideas for a while and wanted to come up with my own too. I did happen to find some that are my favorite and yours aligns with an idea i had in mind so I will post it here! Much like yours it shouldn't feel too far off but hopefully does falls in line with your imagination.

I wont give too much of a deep dive on abilities, which I will give a reason for in a bit.

Fire / Summon

Right click to summon your Puppet at your cross hair. Can only be placed on ground surfaces.

While Puppet is inactive, it is invulnerable.

Can summon no matter where he is.
Range: 50m
Placement cool down: 10s (?) brief window (?)
Takes 50% increased damage from npcs when active.
Can see puppet through walls and surfaces.

I wanted it to act as way to place your puppet anywhere on a ground surface on your screen from your cross hair.

Ever watch a horror film with a puppet that suddenly disappears and reappears? I hope this would create the same feeling for the enemy when playing against this hero. The puppet itself should seem horrifying when seen or not seen as it should be considered a player in some form. Imagine placing it in the enemies shop during the first tower, putting fear into the enemy.. Only to place it in their tier 1 camp!

Alt-RMB to take control of your puppet if in range, losing control of your hero leaving him vulnerable.

Range to activate: 25m

Puppet is a very short humanoid with his own Health bar, gun and stats while sharing all of your item.

Puppet is able to shoot, melee, parry, use items, dash, slide etc. Once in control, there is no limit to it's range away from the user. Some form of canceling that is punishable.

If dies, cannot be placed till a separate cool down is finished. Stays inactive where it died. Provides souls on death.

Cannot pick up urn
Breakables are given to the Hero

I almost had him close to a lone druid type hero.. maybe it still is!

Activating could also be an ability for the hero to take control of the Puppet instead of alt-rmb. But I wanted to try and figure out a way for the hero and the puppet to have their own separate abilities and possibly ultimates. But there should be a simple.. not op way for puppet to cancel or something.. I've just been too stumped to figure anything out.

Devo/De'bo from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure Stardust Crusader. He was my first go to for a puppet master idea. Much similar to the puppet master hero, this character is a puppet user himself thanks to his Stand. I enjoy most of the odd and strange abilities after years of reading the manga. But most of the idea came from the game, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Heritage for the Future where he can control either himself or his puppet. Some inspiration from Naruto which I am also a fan of.

Keeping abilities open, I think it is appropriate to just provide a puppet mechanic so people can think up their own abilities for the hero and the puppet. People can have control over two heroes in some way or another. This is all just a idea and something I hope sparks peoples imagination. Maybe someone can take my Tamer idea and change it into puppets? That way they can have... 3 puppets or more with different abilities D :

A bit over the top but always fun to imagine the possibilities.

I hope it was a fun and inspiring read, similar to how Unanimous61697 and many others have poked my own brain.
