In this thread: a series of more casual damage items that I feel would make deadlock more fun. Some of my fondest memories in dota involve my friends and I buying items like dagon, meteor hammer, etc, so this is an attempt to make viable-but-still-kind-of-silly items. Unsure if the devs/player base agrees with me that the inclusion of these kinds of items would be a positive, but I really think they would be.
OSIC-72 'DIABLO' Strike: 6400 spirit item, no buildup, active, 120 second cooldown
- inspired by risk of rain 2's "diablo strike"
- cast on the ground around the caster (doesn't follow them like scourge when moving, just stays on ground)
- a large area (size of alch fire? maybe larger)
- after cast, very obvious visual/audio cues play as a pentagram begins slowly forming on the ground. after it is completely drawn, (~10 seconds), all heroes in aoe (allied and enemy) evenly split massive spirit damage, ~2000.
(may be better to only deal damage to enemies to prevent griefing. if so, it should deal less damage, but I thought this was still fun to think about)
Champion's Glove: 6400 weapon item, alternate build path for melee charge, passive, 20 second cooldown
- your next heavy melee takes 2x long to charge, but deals 3x damage. makes an obvious boxing ring bell sound when charging
Blood Magick Dart: 3200 spirit item, unsure buildup (maybe mystic slow or vulnerability?), active, 3 second cooldown
- Skillshot active item, shoots a dart (similar to silence wave but maybe a smaller hitbox) that deals 50 spirit damage that doubles with each added stack
- also deals 0.5x damage to caster
- stacks last 10 seconds on target and are completely refreshed on new stack
Hellfire Pact: 6400 spirit (maybe vitality?) item, buildup from something like torment pulse (or fury trance??), passive, 120 second cooldown (only ticks down while alive)
- on death, after a 1 second delay, deal 0.5x of your max health as damage in an aoe around you. about the size of arctic blast
