Word reached that Yamato of The 7th Moon had some how survived the coup and plans to rebuild his organization in America from help of the Patron, granted from a wish. It was seen as an insult to one's who had plotted the crime lord's downfall; they wanted that wish and he was unfinished business.

A single assassin was chosen. The heir of the Secret Scroll.
No name. No face. Only a mission.

They don't question orders. They don't seek reward.
Their only purpose, to cross the ocean to complete the Ritual and end Yamato.

Throw out a Ninja tag that will stick to surfaces(?) or float when reach maximum range, but will explode when touched by an enemy. Ninja will dash whichever direction they are facing when touching a Ninja Tag and deal spirit damage around them.

Alt-cast / Self-cast: Spawn a tag that floats above the player in a fixed location where they casted Ninja tag

Can touch Ninja Tags as they're moving. Encouraged to roll, jump or air dash into them. Can have any number of tags around on the map if possible. Using and placing Ninja Tags can allow Ninja to jump around if done correctly.

Large Shuriken

Fire a Large Shuriken that deals two separate instances of spirit damage, away and back towards Ninja.

1A Reduce cool down 2A Increase range 3A Deals increased spirit damage base on enemies missing health.

Damage: 50 / 50
Cool Down: 20 seconds

Enemies caught by the blade take damage once from the out going blade and once more from the returning for full or partial damage.

Body Replacement Technique / Substitute / Decoy

You focus your mind and body, preventing the next player based damage instance and teleport in a random direction 25m away,
if a breakable object is within 25m, teleports you towards the nearest one instead.

1A Lower cool down by 8 2A Increase range by 15m 3A Leave a clone/illusion that shoots the attacker or closest enemy hero for 45% of your damage and takes 250% more damage.

Active duration: 1
Cool down: 27 seconds
Illusion duration: 6 seconds

Secret Arts

Activating grants access to a verity of arts that requires you to create single lined symbols. Completing the gesture replaces the Secret Art hot key for a limited time to use (similar like Sin Clair when stealing). Each with their own cool down and no ability upgrade.

Holding jump hot key in the air disarms Ninja but they will float in the air for some time or till canceled. More of a joke mechanic because Mina has something better and wall running seems to be an idea for another hero in mind. Maybe if they wanted to add his own rng wind mechanics that drift them randomly up down left right...



Thoughts and finishes

I hope it was straight forward and inspiring to read. Hero ideas are actually quite difficult, especially trying to imagine how things might or might not work in Deadlock's engine. The ultimate came to me when I was rereading my Invoker posts and some of the normal abilities were greatly matched with stuff I could reference. Throughout the planning, I changed up abilities and took some mechanics originally for Ninja and I decided they would be best for another hero idea instead, which I plan on working on. Over all I am pleased with the "Ninja" and hope you were too!
