Mushroom hero concept

Lore-wise, this concept can be taken in a few directions, such as a sentient mushroom colony, a fairy, or even a botanist. Additionally, for world interactions, it could be a prominent figure in something like a magic mushroom market.

Mechanics:
Ability 1. Summon a mushroom that can be punched for an effect. (possibly for healing, spores damage, an area stun, or as a bounce ring like in pinball) (optionally, you could have it [effect] when you punch and stun enemies if they hit it.)

Ability 2. A stationary mist (spore, pesticide, etc.) AoE that lingers for a short duration as it falls to the ground (can scale with duration). When walked through, the spores will cause a slow poison over time damage (stacks with power).

Ability 3. A mushroom that can attach to anything similar to bebops bomb, but the mushroom will continue to let out a trail of spores (similarly to Infernus' run) that will give a poison effect (stacks similar to 2)

Ability 4. Summoning a field of mushroom AoE that heals allies and poisons enemies.
 
I like the concept behind the first ability, in which you deploy a stationary object to punch in a direction to impact opponents. I think it would be cool to mix the first and second ability to allow for a stationary mushroom and the option to punch it for a different or additional effects. Perhaps even stunning enemies within an area of effect if they kill the mushroom. Interesting concept.

I was also considering for the first ability that the mushroom you summon and punch creates an area effect that does the punch damage to anyone inside of it. so your indecently punching them.
 
Rough concept on what features the character might have and what abilities might look like.

Id really like if yhe trail of spores was like a trail of breadcrumbs so you could hunt down enemies who disengage. Thatd be a really cool mechanic
 
Wondering as an alternative the mushroom field ultimate, that instead of poison damage its damage shared across enemies inside of it.
