More melee resist items

I don't want to sound rude, but I think it's a skill issue.

If you don't play in close combat, then you should already have some items or escape abilities. Otherwise, you have some kind of healing or resist. The best option for everyone is, of course, parrying.

Perhaps there could be some kind of item in the game that we can use to mitigate 1-2 melee attacks, but these should not be resist value. Something conditional or temporary, like barriers.

The point is the melee resist works all the time. Having it means that you are ready to take blows. This is something, that frontliners can do.

Maybe an item that reduces the CD of parry by a .25 secs or .5 or something. But yeah. Parrying is a skill issue. I suck at it. I know this.
 
Parry needs a couple nerfs, if anything.

Maybe just give metal skin it's melee immunity back or something.

I forgot parrying existed because its such second nature for me 😭 😭 😭
 
primary issue is melee should not be healing with melee attacks even if you get anti heal they just spam Q on you and you cant do a thing block is only good 1 time if you have multiple people whacking on you with melee you just dont get to play the game.

Listen theres skill issues and then theres it feeling so terrible to play into people can and will stop playing your game over it and I think thats what this current melee system feels like.

I have tried to get someone else to play this game with me and they wont now because of how melee functions in what is otherwise a good Shooter MOBA.

Melee cannot stay as it is its not healthy game design its to big of a barrier to entry especially with the fact they can clense
 
I'm fine with more resist items being added in the same vein as point blank, but as a whole I like the high risk high reward of the current melee system and am a huge fan of rebuttal.

New players do not understand that when they are pressing the melee button they are asking to be punished, they think its another way to dps, an alternative to their gun, but it isn't. It is spitting in the enemies face. At lower skill levels the enemy will not know how to respond to this insult, but once they finally encounter someone who puts them in their place they have no clue how to respond to it because they think full sending heavy melees is what their hero is designed to do. Even when you try to fake out the enemy with your punches, you are openly saying "I know you aren't going to shoot me the entire time I waste doing this, I know you will mess up, I know I will be rewarded for this" - the person using the melee button did not have to press it, they made a choice and must live with it.
