Mina Love Bites has Spirit Damage Fall off?

I've tried looking across the wikis and in game tool tips about this, but Mina's Love Bites deals less damage the further she is from the enemy. This is true about both the on-hit and the proc effect. This IS effected by specifically sharpshooter, which uniquely increases Weapon Fall-off Range which doesn't seem applicable. Further, bullet damage is entirely independent of the spirit on-hit of love bites.

I don't see anything about general spirit damage fall-off when searching online, and will test with other heroes to see if this is the true for like goo-ball. But this has me confused and saddened.

EDIT: Other abilities seemingly do not have this fall off effect! Compared thrown exploding abilities, thrown single target abilities, and also Infernus' afterburn.
HOWEVER, this same drop off effect does also occur with Seven's power surge.

Considering that love bites and power surge gives bonus spirit damage on your gun damage, it could make sense that it scales with weapon fall off. The only difference is that the proc on love bites can be built up from spirit damage from abilities. This would probably only affect her ult since her 1 is close range. She's designed to fight relatively close range but I agree that the proc damage should not scale with distance
