A friend noted that Deadlock lacks melee characters.
While I’m not a huge melee enthusiast myself in such games, I started thinking about what style might be interesting and imagined a hero with slow, sweeping attacks that are very powerful.
Then I thought… where have I seen this before, and where is it actually fun?
Inspiration:
Hades is a fantastic recent game that introduced some elegant, fun movesets to the scene. I was specifically thinking about the Moonstone Axe from Hades II and its move pattern. It would be incredible if there could be a hero based on that style!
Thoughts?
For those who have played Hades, how would you feel about delayed, powerful attacks with that sweeping "slam dunk" feel when they connect? This could add a new melee hero to the roster while also paying homage to one of the best skill-based roguelites of the current generation. ☺

For style reasons (and to keep name conformity) maybe exchange the axe with a shovel and give the guy (or girl) a somewhat greek touch ^^

Skill Ideas:
- Rotate/Whirlwind (must-have)
- Charge-release: AoE Groundwave (as seen in video; multiple ground explosions moving away from you in straight line)
- Gap Closer + Slow/Movement Disable
- For example, a jump where enemies in an X-meter radius where you land are slowed and can’t dash for 2 seconds.
- Ultimate: Berserk Mode OR Shovel Charge
- Option 1: Make you more agile for 4 seconds; slightly adjusted move pattern
- Option 2: Charge forward, scooping multiple enemies behind you (using the axe like a big shovel, throwing them toward your team/towers).
... just some ideas that went through my mind.
