Melee attacks and parry

Melee combat is broken in this game. First of all melee base attacks can reach an absurd distance. You will be nowhere near it and still take damage. You can take damage from melee attacks when opponent is facing away from you. You can get parried when missing your melee or after they whiff their parry. You can take damage after successfully parrying. Those issues often have nothing to do with latency.
 
I've experienced this so often during the update. I'd be meters away from them after dashing away and it still lands. I've also rarely been able to parry. There is "Network prediction improvements" from this update, which is probably what this is as it seems it doesn't work that well with melee.

In case devs actually read this:

Match ID - 52871384 features many instances where the abrams is able to heavy melee me (the mcguiness) after I dashed directly away from them. There is quite some space between us and it still lands. Maybe it's working as intended, but it certainly doesn't look like it should have landed.

Intended mechanic, it'd be impossible to melee people if you just had to do a korean backdash out of it.
