Leveling Mina's Sanguine Retreat with TAB+2 uses the ability

I have my abilities bound to Q, E, and F. Normally, when I hold TAB and press one of those buttons, it'll level up the ability without using it, but on Mina, when I try to level Sanguine Retreat by pressing TAB+E, it also uses the ability.

This has gotten me killed multiple times because it puts the ability on cooldown and I end up caught out without it.

The work around is to hold tab and click the ability to level it instead of using the bound button on your keyboard. It's hard to remember to do sometimes and I'll end up accidentally using it anyway.

Been having this issue for a while now. It's especially frustrating because quick cast doesn't have this issue, but if you use quick cast you can't use your 2 during 4. I don't want to switch to using instant cast because I'm too used to leveling with tab, and leveling it with cursor would just be incredibly distracting. I have lost fights due to not being able to use 2 during 4 though, unfortunately.
