Jimmy, the unwilling superhero

Jimmy

Backstory:

Little Jimmy wished to be his favourite superhero, and in a world where mischievous wish-granting imps lurk around some, but not all, corners, his wish came true.

However, being a hero is not all it's cracked up to be: Your friends get scared of you, your parents don't recognize you anymore, and your toys break under your super strength. But lucky for Jimmy, a Patron reached out to him: All he has to do is 'join a team of superheroes to fight six villains' and his Patron will make him young again.

Design:
Jimmy looks like a stereotypical 40s comics superhero complete with cape, emblem, high boots, and 'underwear over your pants'. While his voice is a stereotypical superhero voice, his actual voice lines are those of a child, and indicate some degree of ignorance to his surroundings and other heroes (being confused when ally heroes are revealed to be bad people, or when enemy heroes are revealed to be good people), as well as sadness due to his fate.

Jimmy's footstep sounds consist of a constant superhero theme playing softly, which gets additional instruments and/or changes when he uses abilities. This is part of the imp's curse, and can be heard by other heroes (who sometimes comment on it). It goes silent when he stops moving or crouch-walks. Jimmy has grown VERY tired of it constantly playing wherever he goes.

Jimmy usually seems to be holding back.

Demeanor:
Jimmy is scared of scary, dangerous, and villainous heroes like Drifter, Seven, and others, whereas he likes more friendly heroes like Viscous and Paige. Overall he doesn't like hurting people, likes protecting his teammates, and sometimes has rare bouts of child wisdom in conversations. Some more 'rowdy' heroes like Vyper and Lash show rare moments of care in conversation. Some other heroes recognize the hero Jimmy wished to become from the comics they read (my suggestions would be Billy, Dynamo, Victor, maybe Yamato - it would be particularly funny if Billy of all people started fanboying over it) and are surprised the superhero they read about is real. Jimmy might be related to an existing hero in the roster, who lost a young family member (not sure who would be a good fit). Doorman refers to Jimmy as 'James'.

Overall, lore-wise Jimmy seems fun and exciting on a surface level, but there's clear tragedy buried underneath.

Weapon:
Jimmy uses dual eye laser beams that converge at his crosshair. These are rapid-fire and have high accuracy similar to Bebop's beam, but have longer range (though are a bit worse up close).

To reload, Jimmy rubs his eyes with two balled hands.

Melee:
For his light melee, Jimmy uses an outstretched arm and holds his index finger behind his thumb, then flicks it forward, dealing damage with his super strength.

For his heavy melee, Jimmy keeps his eyes closed and turns his head away while rapidly flailing his arms around, similar to how kids sometimes fight.

Abilities:
-Flight. Jimmy flies into the air superhero-style. Jimmy can still use his weapons, abilities, and items while flying. Dodging while flying causes a burst of speed instead (similar to Grey Talon/Vindicta). Speed is faster than Grey Talon/Vindicta's. Can be cancelled.
-Super Speed. Jimmy moves so fast he dodges any and all incoming damage and negative effects. Gameplay-wise it's similar to Mina's Sanguine Retreat and Dynamo's Quantum Entanglement, and can be alt-cast to bring (just) one ally (who is carried super-hero style by holding them under the knees and shoulder like a large baby, something some heroes will comment on). Visually it looks like Jimmy moves so fast he's faded and in multiple places at once, but gameplay-wise he actually doesn't move that much. Both Jimmy and any ally carried recover some stamina. Does not interrupt Flight/Spotlight.
-Spotlight. A spotlight is cast on Jimmy from the sky along with a heroic draft of air that flaps his cape, plus little sparkles appear in and around the spotlight. Jimmy and allies who first enter the spotlight get a burst of healing, and gain slow resist while in the spotlight. Jimmy's heroic music gets considerably louder and can be heard from a longer range. If Jimmy is airborne, the spotlight extends all the way to the ground. Jimmy doesn't like the attention of being in the spotlight. Spotlight reveals Jimmy on the minimap and can be seen from afar (also usable as bait!). Can be cancelled. (Possible addition: the crosshair of enemies is drawn towards Jimmy once when in close enough range, but maybe too annoying.)
-Ultimate: Suplex. Jimmy grabs an opponent and drives them head-first into the ground directly below them, dealing burst spirit damage. Spirit damage increases the higher Jimmy and the opponent are up in the air when Suplex starts. Enemy heroes buried in the ground are interrupted and cannot do anything for a short time before escaping, take (some) reduced damage from all sources (as you can basically only hit their legs), and cannot be headshot (as their head and most of their upper body are down in the ground). Buried enemy heroes have muffled voice lines. Mo & Krill don't mind it. Lash screams "Not the face, not my beautiful face!" when grabbed.

Overall, Jimmy's role is as support and counter. Flight can be used to rescue teammates or close in with flying enemies or enemies using airborne Ults, Super Speed can dodge burst damage and can dodge burst debuffs, Spotlight can be used for get-in-get-out bursts of rescue healing and drawing enemies away from teammates, and Suplex can catch fleeing enemies and counter some Ults similar to Bola. However, Jimmy is not a great solo fighter or duelist, and needs to be paired with teammates to do well.
