there's already metal skin. a solid counter against bullet dmg dealers. but there is no proper, preventive measure against carry spirit. it would be nice to have active item that makes you immune from spirit dmg

I had an idea I posted on here where you turn inside out, you gain significant amount of spirit resistance, and you have a % chance to return back that spell to the nearest/lowest target. The % should be 60%, or something like that. It doesn't have to be spirit damage it reflects back. It does to a similar duration to metal/return fire. That sounds like a 6.4K version of Metal Skin for Spirit, and I described the 3.2K version of return fire.how about something more extreme?
an item that turns all spirit damage you would receive into spirit HEALING instead for 5 seconds
also STUNS YOU for 5 seconds
maybe you are allowed to overheal to 150% of your max health too

spirit immunity would be a solid defensive item. the only disadvantage is won't be immune to any debuffs (stuns, slows, etc) to balance it out. this means if i getting spirit attacks by character who has escalating exposure, i dont receive any spirit dmg but the exposure debuff will still stacking on me. debuff removal should only be done by dispel magic or unstoppable.counterspell already does this (albeit timing window is more narrow than metal skin, but enough to be similar in function -- negating a spell/spell combo is quite analogous to taking no bullet damage or wasting x amount of their bullets when you factor the spirit opponent's CDs)
all in all, as other people have mentioned, 100% spirit resist is way more potent than immunity to bullets (punches will still hurt you, most gun heroes have some mean of doing hybrid damage so even if theyre shooting you with metal skin, most will STILL do damage to you regardless) [ex: djinn's mark, wraith cards, tesla bullets, merc mag on haze/warden/etc, etc]
