Every single hero is positive winrate if I played it in ranked
Here is an image of my main ingame, insane winrate and insane KD.

Can someone explain me how I went from ascendant to archon?
I already got games where I go 16/1 now I will go 30/0 to gain my mmr back, is this a joke?

Here is a screenshot of my games yday + a game just now after the patch (actual WTF moment.)
Ah yes ascendant to archon, how logical.

Im not insanely good by any means however this rank update is a joke i dont know if its bugged or not
If u want me to go 30/0 and have a WR of 90% for a rank up then something must be revised

My enemies in the first game since the update:

Will be posting more screenshots of every bad quality match I will get since last patch.

It seems like normal MMR is considered which is VERY outdated for literally everyone.
some people were put in eternus and deranked all the way to phantom, and now get put back in eternus cause thats what there were in normals.

There were good attempts on fixing lobbies and they messed it all up (temporary) again?

Currently it is better to make a smurf as the early games are considered heavily, clearly my last 50 ascendant/phantom games arent considered. Maybe this is the solution? Just create a new acc? Idk im dissapointed, not fun to stomp lobbies, it hurts to watch and it feels like a waste of time

There was a high chance of getting horrible quality matches, in an attempt to fix that there was a rank shift last weekly reset.
Now.. today.. they heavily counted (normal game) mmr which was accurate 2 months ago?....

I am very confident in saying we will have even more bad quality games now where people will get stomped.

^enemy getting stomped on my FIRST game after last nights patch

Lash was also really trying to not tilt, I told him I was placed in archon eventho im ascendant and he just got destroyed by me, which I FEEL BAD ABOUT, I hate this. I have so many games where I STOMP. Did the dev team ACCIDENTALLY use normal MMR (which is VERY outdated)?

I will be posting screenshots of my games.
My mirage told me he is archon to confirm my wraith (which was ascendant yday) is now archon.

I will now queue my 2nd game. I did not get a rank update after the first game so I will probably end up ruining someones fun again.

Same issue here.

I was grinding last 1+ month tryharding and I got to Ascendant 6 and was playing mostly Eternus lobbies so I was probably basically Eternus rank.

Now after the update I'm Oracle 5 and I literally wanna kill myself.
No motivation left to grind back to that. Feels like I wasted a lot of time for nothing.
Yes I did learn something through the games and got better, but a big part of the grind is the amount of hours it takes to rank up.

If I queue now, I'm stuck playing lobbies where people don't think on the same level and it just feels like a nightmare having to go through this again.

I’ll take this opportunity to join the discussion because i think that we are on the same boat more or less. Not that I’m as skilled a player as you, in fact I mainly play one hero (though I can play others) because I find it super versatile and great for helping the team, whether it’s pushing or ganking. I’ve received a lot of commendations for it.
Anyway, I stopped playing normal matches months ago. When I did, I went from 1600 to 1900 MMR (ranked). The reason my base MMR is currently 1600 is that I had fun playing with friends and new players who eventually left the game or only played occasionally (and even when winning, I lost about 80 points because they had lower MMR).

On ranked instead, I climbed from Emissary to Oracle with a +16 win streak last week. I started finding better players who understand the game, and the quality of my matches improved. Now, I’m afraid to queue because I might have to play with people who don’t even understand the core mechanics, barely make calls, and don’t know what to do (or, maybe even worse, a player like you against).
That’s it. I can’t see the private section, but I provide my profile here, and I hope they do something about it, because It’s not about the badge or fairness, it’s literally about the quality of the matches.

Also, I want to point out something I’ve noticed. There are many players who started playing just a couple of months ago. Somehow, they "reached" 2000+ MMR just because they played with one or two players who had 2000 MMR. The problem is, they are literally anything but good. I’ve been playing this game since August, and like many others with hours invested, I have much more knowledge about everything, from items to different in-game situations. So i think it should be frustrating to see these players with inflated MMR, especially when their lack of skill negatively impacts the quality of matches.

Your winrate seems good too so defintely just like in our case they took your MMR from 2 months ago during the normal games, huge blunder

In my opinion, these queue changes are going to be extremely frustrating and overall detrimental for low-to-mid elo players. For high elo players who mostly play with others at their skill level, this is probably a net positive. However, by consolidating into a single queue, Valve is forcing casual and competitive players into the same environment. This is likely to increase toxicity, as some players will want to play to improve and take matches seriously, while others may just want to play for fun or experiment.
The changes also heavily penalize groups with a wide range of skill levels, like mine. Personally, I was an Ascendant/Phantom-ranked player in the old system, while my friends averaged Ritualist/Emissary. After this update, I’ve dropped to Oracle, while they’ve been pushed up to Archon/Emissary. This is already discouraging serious players from queuing with casual or newer friends. In my group, I’ve seen this happen firsthand, and I’ve heard similar stories from other players after games last night. For example, one of my friends, who is less experienced, felt like he was “dragging us down” and may not want to play with us anymore. That’s heartbreaking, especially for a game that should encourage group play.
Another issue is for players who dislike ranked games entirely. I have friends who avoid ranked modes because they prefer a more relaxed, casual experience. Despite explaining the concept of hidden MMR to them, they’re still hesitant and are already considering stepping away from the game. This consolidation risks alienating a significant portion of the casual player base.
I tried playing a few matches last night with my group, which has a wide skill range, and it was rough. When our lowest elo friend logged off, the quality of matches improved drastically (as expected). While I hope the new anti-boost and smurf systems will work, the system as it stands seems to unintentionally punish players who want to play with friends of differing skill levels.
I understand that Valve needs data and testing during these early stages of development, and these kinds of changes were likely inevitable. However, I worry about the long-term effects on the casual player base. If the balance isn’t handled carefully, this could discourage group play and harm overall player retention. Only time will tell, but I hope adjustments are made based on feedback.

For high elo players who mostly play with others at their skill level, this is probably a net positive.
Wrong. All the people who were seeded to high rank from standard matches, but then deranked back to Oracle/Phantom are going to be placed back in the high ranks so they can start throwing the games all over again.
This is a terrible patch for ALL skill levels, unless you're playing in a 6-person premade.

Just like me and its really depressing they ruined a whole weekend tbh, when i play i will stomp players again

That is what I meant by playing with other similar skilled players, people like streamers/content creators will have an advantage there since they know more people who averagely have higher skill levels and thus will have a much easier time to grind back up. Not to mention their coordinated play. But yes I agree, It looks like for everyone else this is a net negative change. I just believe that Low-Mid elo are going to feel this the most since the range varies the most there. Glad I was not the only one that feels this way.

I agree with all, especially you. The problem also applies to those like the guy a couple of posts above (who is now an emissary instead of a ritualist), because I'm sure he has a high MMR compared to his ranked level. And of course, the main problem is that there are people who don't want to try hard/play ranked, and those who do.

So far having a total blast , woohoo. Totally not auto pilotting to stomp the enemies.
NOTE: Im not even playing my main im trying other heroes, my main is haze and wraith.
2 sub ranks up so far.... gonna take ages to get back where I deserve to be.
