I think the recent lag spikes comes from veil walking

I tested this with my 3070, I bought veil walker and when I go trough a veil multiple times, I get major FPS drop spikes. I noticed the same pattern in public games. When someone abuses the veil for some reason and my character is facing that way the FPS drops.

I think you're onto something. When the camera gets near them I can also get lag spikes. My GPU is older though an RTX 2080. I often get lag spikes when a lot of neutral camps spawn at once. Also the background Steam recorder sometimes gives me 2 second pauses, then an error that it can't record anymore. Not sure why. There's plenty of space.
