Name: Tristan

STORY
Tristan is a pianist who always wanted to become famous. He mostly attended small events which most of them took place at bars. But despite all his efforts he just couldn't achieve an infamous title for himself. One night, in jezebel's he perfomed yet another time, even though he recieved some recognition and applause it didn't please him enough. baffled by all this he went to take a drink and get drunk a bit. While he was drinking his beverage he heard the most beautiful melody his mind could ever grasp. he looked around to see if anyone else noticed it beside him yet no one was hearing it. he decided to follow the melody. weirdly the sound lead him to a door in a dark corridor that never existed before in jezebel's. he assumed that he was just drunk and seeing things but decided to open the door anyways. As soon as he opened the door he saw a demon playing the piano. Every key was well thought and the piece sounded so perfect that it couldn't physically be played by a human. the demon finally talked while still playing the piano. The Demon said that he knew that Tristan was really upset that his work wasn't seen by the world and offered to change it. Said that he is a victim of the same fate too, that he wishes to be heard by every individual. He later explained that he was trapped in the piano and no one else could hear him. Later he convinced Tristan to make a deal: the demon would give his piano skills to Tristan under one condition, which is that Tristan would make every single person in the world hear the Demon's piece. Tristan agreed to this, through years he gained alot of fame, performed in more luxurious places but he couldn't make every single person hear the song so the demon forced Tristan into the ritual to make everyone hear the music all at once so he could enter everyones minds.
Fun fact: Tristan doesn't know how to fight at all!
The Demon's storyThe Demon used to be a powerful being. He would play the most beautiful songs to mankind and enter people's minds. He was so good at this that it even got The Doorman's attention. Him and the Doorman tormented people together for a period. As the Demon got into more peoples head he grew arrogant. His arrogance made him blind (that's why he has bird feathers on his eyes) and he started to see Doorman as less powerful than him day by day. Which didn't result in his favor as it hit the Doormans nerves so to show who he actually is, he trapped the Demon inside the piano cutting his contact from the outside world.
Fun fact: Tristan is actually the Demon's name. But the human Tristan agreed to the bit and made his public name Tristan. his actual name is unknown for now. but for clarity The goat like demon will be referred to as The Demon while the guy will be referred as Tristan throughout this post.
Attack: The Vocalist
Tristan uses his microphone (first image) to deal damage. He can charge his attacks by waiting about 1 second when fully charged his shot pierces enemies which has a higher damage and can travel long distances without damage fall off. Or he can choose to not charge the attack and spam it but every attack deals less damage. Though for a dps standpoint not charging is better but it leaves you vulnerable since you will be reloading alot.
Ability 1: POWER NOTE
Tristan sings from his highest vocal chords in a long cone which damages everyone inside it by every tick, the tick rate increases towards the end of the duration of the ability turning into a rapid fire. the ability doesn't last that long. Every hit increases the "influence" meter
Ability 2: KEY SMASH
Tristan smashes the Piano keys, knocks back every enemy close to him into the air removing their ability to dash or double jump until they land to the ground. This ability increases the "influence" meter on hit.
Ability 3: BLINDING PERFORMANCE
ability 3 is all about the influence meter when the meter get full he can activate the ability, reducing an enemies vision that has enough influence (just like drifters ult). But this time intead of seeing the map their vision is covered by the piano walls but inside the area is still visible so they can find their way.
blindness has tiers, up to tier 3.
tier 1: their vision gets blocked
tier 2: the area around them decreases removing more from their vision, lasts longer.
tier 3: players can't double jump or dash until the effect runs out, and lasts even longer.
ULT: THE GREAT SOLO
The piano which contains the Demon drops from the sky and Tristan starts playing the piano. The piano can move. The piano has a ring around it, anyone that touches the ring gets tier 3 blindness ready to be applied through ability 3. During the Ult, piano has really high movement abilities. making Tristan be able to dash further, jump higher and move faster while temporarily increasing the amount of stamina Tristan has. Tristan can use all of his abilities while in ult.
Extras!! :
made the rope animation and heavy melee like that because as mentioned Tristan doesn't know how to actually fight and he is usually like this during all the animations.
!!! whenever Tristan says something that the demon agrees with, then a simple chord starts playing alongside the sentence. so if he were to say "What a FLUKE" you can hear a simple tri-tone chord playing at the back of his voicelines.
the name tristan comes from the piece "Devils Trill Sonata" which I took inspiration from (the composer hears the devil play the most beautiful piece he ever heard inside his dream)
the name is also a reference to Tri-tone chords which were seen as demonic by the churches back then and was forbidden to play in church music.
other fun details: the demon loathes the Doorman so much that if Tristan blinds Doorman he tries to roast him. But Doorman is really proud that he still can make other powerful beings mad, and gets amused whenever the Demon tries to roast him. Now Tristan doesn't really hate the Doorman but he just agrees with the Demon to show support.
If Tristan uses ability 3 while in Baroness he shouts "Shut UP!" (with piano chords) to Doorman since the Doorman's roasts really get under his skin. but The Doorman just continues his roast anyway.
