[Hero Concept] - The Jester, Otherworldly Trickster (WIP)

Before you read: This character is meant to be complex, high skill ceiling, high risk high reward and jack of all trades which is the whole concept of Jesters in general and mostly WIP, all name and concept is subject to change.

"The Jester" is a Otherworldly being just like The Doorman and story wise there is not much we know about The Jester just like doorman cause its kind of an anomaly type of character.

Jester has 3.5 different mind/people/persona inside him "Carnage, Bard, Sentinel and the 0.5 one is its original personality which is The Jester" these 3.5 are completely different character forms you can switch while playing The Jester.

Every form has a ultimate, different skills and 3 different weapons which you can scroll with your mouse scroll, some of you might wonder "But how are we gonna switch forms if all skill slots are full with different skill and not a Switch Character button?" i came up with a solution that when you are in a form you can press-hold that button and switch forms and if you want to switch to base The Jester form just basically press-hold ultimate button let me explain with an example;

"Carnage is 1st skill, Bard is 2nd skill, Sentinel is 3rd skill button as base The Jester form and Jester form is Ultimate button hold-press"

So you started the game buying items etc and headed to lane, your in the base form and when you press your first skill as the base form you switch to carnage that has a complete skillset of its own which well get to in a minute, anyways if you press-hold Skill button 1 nothing will happen because youre already in the carnage form which is Skill button 1 but if you press-hold skill button 2 while in carnage form you will transform into Bard form while CASTING both 2nd bard and carnage skill back to back(this will make them go into cooldown so no you cant spam abuse it)so what just happened is you press-hold the 2nd skill button and first you casted carnages 2nd skill then after it you casted bard 2nd skill automatically(these are not instant just because you switched forms btw they have a casting speed)

This is mainly the reason he will be a complex character but there is one more thing, when you switch weapons with your mouse scroll your skills change minor effects here is an example;

So this part will be a great introduction to "Carnage" our main source of dealing damage mainly;

Carnage looks like a clown drifter to be honest it has bloody things all over crazy, scary etc.
Carnage is the eldricth horror side of The Jester and i planned him to be a hybrid damage dealer but i have a concept in mind like you can build jester mainly as anything you want, its skills will scale with anything increasingly like if you buy more magic items your magic scaling will increase or if you buy bullet items your bullet base scaling will increase according to how many items you have bought in that specific field and that contributes to "Jack of all trades" concept so much, forms visual effects will change depending on the field your into or if you have invested in multiple fields like tanking, magic damage dealing etc. it instead will be a chaotic visual effect which again is the concept of this character "Chaos".

So back to carnage and its skills/weapons;

Carnage weapons(all of these weapons will have range similar/more or less like apollo and drifter);

Dual daggers: fast double slashing attacks but lower range than axe and mace.
Heavy two handed axe: big heavy long range slash that deals high damage but slow.
One handed Mace: i havent decided on this one but im planning on more aoe based multiple slashing but idk.

Carnage first skill: The first skill in Carnage mode allows you to dash towards an opponent, but this varies depending on your weapon.

Dagger: When dashing with a dagger, two daggers are held with a reverse grip and dash in a straight line, and after the hit enemy will suffer from a short blood DOT.

Axe: When dashing with an axe, it shoots a curved axe cut downwards from the air(while landing),
it's not an AoE, it's a straight axe cut and leaves a slightly forward-moving projectile behind(high damage and stuns a bit on hit).

Mace: Similar to what axe do, but the damage is dealt AoE (Area of Effect) and it knocks enemies into the air on contact, like Billy's first skill.

Carnage second skill: Carnage's second skill creates a blood blast that starts from inside Carnage and extends outwards.
Doing this heavy slows nearby enemies, takes a certain amount of Carnage's health, but grants Carnage enhanced lifesteal, attack speed, and bullet resistance for a limited time.

Carnage third skill: Carnage's third skill could be related to cards and a small RNG could be added.

It could receive different buffs depending on the number and type of cards received.

One card might give an extra 1-2 stamina, another might give attack speed, bullet power, etc. (The number of cards could represent the strength of the buff, and the type of card could represent the buff itself. It doesn't necessarily have to be a buff; different properties could be added to the skills, but a buff seems more logical. If cards that deal damage, slow the opponent, etc. come along, carnage could also throw said cards at the opponent.)

Carnages fourth skill: Carnage's fourth skill is an AoE skill like Drifter, affecting opponents.

It leaves a Jester/Carnage hybrid symbol on opponents.

If people with this symbol look at Carnage, they will either get slowed like they got hit by Fear in League of Legends, and start running away, or they will freeze in place out of fear.

Before casting this skill, it will be telegraphed to prevent it from being too OP, and when the ultimate is cast, Carnage will transform into a very terrifying form like Eldritch creatures. Also,
Carnage will generally get a stat boost (if it's too OP, instead of stun and fear, the opponent might be unable to use their skills etc. during Carnage's ultimate because they are afraid of Carnage). A loud and terrifying scream is emitted when this ultimate is cast.

This is the concept of Carnage i have in mind its clearly not finished like the names the details cooldown etc. But the general concept is here.

And Carnage is the only form i finished because i wanted to get a feedback from the community before i continue investing in this concept, and if this concept is loved by the community i will provide visuals for the character or skills.

For now the only things i have settled are the Bard concept and The Jester's(base form)very game impacting ultimate which takes a lot of effort to get/charge/use.

Bard will be a buffer, debuffer and healer support and it will use 3 different instruments(Flute, Lyre, Lute)each changing 1 aspect/effect of the Bards skills but i still have to work on that concept so thats all i have right now.

The weapons in the bard will work like this: each skill of the bard will do something, but
the chosen weapon will give it a side effect. For example, we use the second skill to cast an AoE heal, if we do this with the flute, the enemies inside the AoE heal will receive a heal debuff.

This will be different for each weapon.
If we cast a heal with the lyre, a stronger heal will be cast, but of course, without excessive enhancement for balancing purposes. If we cast a heal with the lute, it will give both heal and a buff. However, since the skills are not complete, I haven't decided how it should be yet.

The Jester's ultimate will be a lane disable ultimate for both teams if you press it you have to pick a lane and disable that lane completely and fill it with chaos, people or anything thats not a walker/guardian walking inside a disabled lane will receive low-medium-high damages depending on RNG, i know this may sound absurd but your not supposed to use it in early and even if you use it BOTH team lanes will be disabled for BOTH teams so its a very situational ultimate and as you may have guessed it will be telegraphed very very much so people can escape(The Jester's ult will probably have a different cooldown/charge condition but i havent decided on that).

There could be some lore with celeste because she is working in a circus etc.

There could be some lore/dialogue with drifter which jester mocks drifter especially in the carnage form.

When enemy team or our teams pings us, the narration will be based on the form like for an example; Carnage's here!, Jester's here!, Bard's singing!, Chaos is here!

I havent thought about skill upgrade/unlock thing for jester yet.

power level storywise is obviously lower than the patrons but kind of on par with the doorman.

Thats it from me atm im looking forward to feedback and if you love my character concept please support me so we can potentially see a character like this in game.
