Hero Name: CS Brothers


I. Core Concept​

A minimalistic, high–firepower suppression hero.
  • Blue side: Counter-Terrorist theme
  • Yellow side: Terrorist theme
  • Mirror match allowed maybe (both teams may select this hero in the same match)

Role Identity​

  • Area suppression
  • Burst zone control
  • Stationary damage dealer
  • Low mechanical difficulty, high positional skill ceiling
This hero does not rely on complex combos or flashy mechanics. The gameplay philosophy is extremely straightforward:
  • Shoot → Switch to AK spray suppression
  • Throw utility → Follow with AK spray suppression
The design emphasizes raw firepower and positioning rather than mechanical complexity.


II. Basic Attack​

Weapon: Pistol
  • Moderate fire rate
  • Stable, consistent damage output
  • Skill 4 can be activated during reload

III. Ability Design​

Skill 1 – Frag Grenade​

Throws an explosive grenade that deals area damage.
Upgrades:
  • Increased explosion radius
  • Increased damage
  • Optional slow effect
  • Faster casting speed
  • Optional short enhancement to Skill 4 upon use
Purpose:
  • Wave clear
  • Pre-engagement poke
  • Forcing enemy repositioning

Skill 2 – Smoke Grenade​

Throws a smoke grenade that creates a smoke zone.
Upgrades:
  • Increased smoke radius
  • Minor damage within the area (optional)
  • Faster cast speed
  • Optional temporary enhancement to Skill 4
Purpose:
  • Vision denial
  • Safe pushing
  • Creating suppression zones

Skill 3 – Molotov​

Throws an incendiary that creates a burning area over time.
Upgrades:
  • Increased area size
  • Increased damage over time
  • Faster cast speed
  • Optional temporary enhancement to Skill 4
Purpose:
  • Area denial
  • Stalling
  • Preventing enemy advances

Skill 4 – AK Suppression (Core Ability, No Cooldown)​

Switches to an AK and automatically sprays within a fixed circular area
(Can be designed as three consecutive spray waves).
Characteristics:
  • Fixed circular damage zone
  • While active:
    • Cannot move
    • Cannot turn
    • Cannot manually aim
This ensures that performance differences between players of different mechanical skill levels remain controlled.
  • Can partially penetrate walls
  • Strong sustained DPS and armor penetration
Additional Mechanics:
  • Can be used during reload
  • Temporarily unlocked after casting Skills 1/2/3
  • Upgradeable lifesteal effect
Role in Combat:
  • Area fire suppression
  • Teamfight stationary DPS
  • Core ability for pushing and defending objectives

IV. Gameplay Logic​

Basic Combos​

  • Pistol poke → Skill 4 suppression
  • Throw Skill 1/2/3 → Skill 4 suppression

High-Skill Expression​

  • Strong positioning discipline

  • Using terrain for wall-penetration suppression

VI. New Item Proposal​

Item Name: Impact Gloves​

Effect:
  • Heavy melee attack knocks enemies away
Purpose:
  • Compensates for lack of self-defense
  • Improves anti-dive capability
Design Intent:
  • Keeps the hero mechanically simple
  • Allows itemization to offset weaknesses
  • Adds strategic depth

VII. Design Summary​

This hero is not about flashy mechanics, but about:
  • Pure shooting satisfaction
  • Classic FPS utility gameplay
  • Clear area-suppression identity
  • Low mechanical complexity
  • High tactical positioning ceiling
In the current Deadlock environment, which leans heavily toward ability-combo gameplay, a pure fire-suppression hero would stand out as a unique and refreshing addition.

I like simple and straightforward characters.

In my version of the Counter-Strike hero (long time ago and on reddit), the hero had an equippable Riot shield ability but also passively it would reduce gun damage from behind the hero like Bristleback.

It really is simple and straightforward. Actually not a bad addition to the Deadlock roster. Can attract CS players to this game. 🤣
