Hello, I'm new here on the forum, and I created this account specifically to share the idea of a hero I recently came up with I had posted it before but decided to update his kit, though I still don't know how to delete the old post.
I love Deadlock and would love to see him in the game. I don’t know how to draw, but I tried to design his kit carefully, so here we go.
His name is Mach, a truck driver who works for Fairfax Industries, like McGinnis. He’s basically a delivery trucker. His appearance is that of a Texan trucker, you know? I didn’t go too deep into his visual design, so let’s move on.
His weapon is called “Double Mess,” a short double-barreled shotgun made from a truck exhaust, with only two bullets at the start of the ritual. It has a very short range, similar to Drifter’s claws.
Mach cannot aim his weapon because in his left hand he carries the door of his truck, Merry Low, which he uses as a shield. The shield blocks frontal ballistic projectiles and part of spiritual attacks. The shield’s health is always equal to half of Mach’s maximum health, rounded down. The cooldown between lowering the shield and shooting is one and a half seconds.
If enemies manage to break Mach’s shield, he gains a speed bonus since he no longer has to carry its weight. However, due to his kit, he becomes more fragile. The shield takes 50 seconds to respawn.
Now, the kit:
First ability – “Old Tire”
Mach throws a tire forward that bounces off nearby enemies or surfaces if an enemy is within range. The tire deals damage on direct hit and can bounce once, losing 10 damage with each bounce.
LV1 – The tire gains two additional bounces.
LV2 – The tire increases in size.
LV3 – The tire gains two more bounces, totaling six, and the last bounce disarms the enemy hit.
Second ability – “Flash Beam”
When activated, Mach channels a beacon from his truck door for two seconds. After that, he projects a light cone up to 5 meters forward, like headlights. Enemies caught in the light cone become disoriented.
While disoriented, their movement controls are randomly inverted and their accuracy drops significantly. The effect can be removed with a debuff remover or by taking damage from Mach. Targets remain disoriented for 4 seconds and cannot use items or movement abilities.
LV1 – 10% life steal from ballistic damage when hitting disoriented targets. Scales with Spirit.
LV2 – Enemies remain disoriented for 1.5 additional seconds.
LV3 – Enemies take spiritual damage at the end of the debuff.
Third ability – “Blessing of Merry Low”
This ability increases the shield’s effectiveness. When activated, it grants an additional 200 health to the shield.
LV1 – Grants 300 additional more health.
LV2 – The shield has a 20% chance to deflect part of the damage back to the attacker.
LV3 – Stores up to half of the damage taken to charge a more powerful shotgun shot that scales with Gun.
Fourth ability (Ultimate) – “Kiss of Merry Low”
Mach marks an area in front of him. Enemies inside the area who do not leave it take massive spiritual damage. They hear a truck horn, and a portal opens in the sky, bringing Merry Low down as she crashes into the ground, exploding everything around her.
LV1 – Increases the area of effect.
LV2 – Reduces cooldown from 200 to 120 seconds.
LV3 – When Merry Low hits the ground, she spreads tar across the marked area. Enemies walking on it are slowed for 5 seconds. Allies are not affected, but Mach is.
This is my idea for a hero. It still needs balancing and some lore development, his tags are "Shield", "Roads", "Big Rigs".
