Deadlock is lacking a dragon character, so I cooked one up.
A Fate's Tale:
Money is power, even more so for dragons. When the Maelstrom first twisted the world, Gildrax did not retreat to some distant mountain. He moved into the heart of a new world filled with new enterprises and built a banking empire brick by brick. Gold flowed in, and influence followed. Over the decades, his hoard grew.
Then it vanished.
Vaults were emptied overnight. Treasures vanished without a trace. The newspapers called it the heist of the century. Gildrax did not find it so amusing.
Stripped of the fortune that fueled his magic, Gildrax is a shadow of what he once was. But dragons are patient creatures, and debts like this accrue interest. The ritual offers opportunity: power, leverage, and a chance to hunt down the thieves who dared take his hoard.
He will reclaim what is rightfully his. And when he does, the world will remember that dragons rule it.
Abilities:
Ability 1 — Golden Gust
Gildrax sprouts draconic wings and unleashes a sweeping wingbeat that knocks enemies backward. Heroes pushed into walls take additional impact damage.
Ability 2 — Molten Wrath
Gildrax exhales a short cone of molten gold-tinged flame. Enemies take damage over time and become slowed for several seconds.
Ability 3 — Vault Doors
Gildrax raises a wall of solidified gold in front of him. The wall blocks enemy fire and gradually cracks as it absorbs damage. If destroyed, it explodes into shards that damage nearby enemies.
Ultimate — Dragon’s Claim
Gildrax briefly unleashes his true draconic form, growing wings and taking to the air for several seconds. While airborne, he rains down molten gold projectiles that explode on impact.
Feedback and suggestions would be greatly appreciated (especially the name, I feel like there has to be a better option).
