Getting banned for failing to load in on time/trying to rejoin a match when my game crashed the moment i found a match

As the title says i've been banned twice now for this issue and today i got banned for 24 HOURS! I understand the need for bans if someone is leaving mid game but I didnt even load into my matches and im being punished for it which is just totally unfair. I cant even provide proof for the match i just got banned on cause i couldnt load into it since my game crashed the moment i found a match, i even tried to reconnect but to no avail. I have no idea if the team unbans people or anything but all i ask is for them to at least fix or lessen the ban if someone failed to load in because 24 hours and low prio is insanity for something out of my hands.

It's been happening a lot lately, there are multiple threads about it. For me, it also corrupts some of my gamefiles.

The worst part is the leaver penalty for something out of control.

At this point we just have to wait for an official response or patch, something.

apparently the update removes ban but still doesn't fix the main reason the bans are happening, i just checked and i was unbanned so i queued and the same thing happened and im banned again

Yeah, yesterday exactly the same happened to me.

I had low prio queue and 24h penalty, got removed for the day, but after playing 3 matches, upon loading the 4th one my game crashed and corrupted my files, so back to the same situation, lol.

I understand the pain.

yeah this is significantly more complaints about it than normal, something is definitely up. (might want to just forgive all leaver low prio games when they fix it).

just hopped back on and my ban and low prio have been removed, I will play some and see if i get another ban. I know ill probably crash because its been happening constantly to me. Will come back with info again.

yea just happened to me launched game, hopped of zip crash. then it had an update failed to even start the update. I opened a different game on steam and the update finally started, sadly too late by the time i rejoined. got a 2 hour ban, should be able to detect crashes and not ppl just straight leaving.

Got a couple games in without crashing myself, and while i agree with your sentiment. I think itd be hard to determine whether the game crashed vs someone raging and holding down the power button on their pc. I do hope theres a way that can be detectable because it would make my life easier since I never rage quit.

also having this happen to me, it's very frustrating and i'm especially worried if it keeps happening and then getting a massive penalty for something out of my hands. i already don't have much free time so having the main game i'm playing rn ripped away until the next day (or longer) is really disheartening.

Well I was coming to talk about the same thing so I guess this saves me time. I go to que for a match finally get one, game errors out with some file was corrupted. Try to quickly fix the file and it won't let me download. Tried shutting down pc, steam, clear cache ect and nothing works. Finally like idk 30 minutes later I click it and it finally downloads the corrupted file. Log in and I have a I am guessing 5 hour ban for something out of my control. this is the second time I have gotten a ban for this but this is probably the 6th time it has happened. It started happening back when I think graves was introduced and then had no problems from Silver till now with Athe latest patch or so. I played a 100 or so games in-between the silver release and this latest patch and did not have problems. That I can recall.

yeah we can only hope for an official response anytime soon, it seems it happens with a lot different types of GPUs, RAM, and OS, so... I don't really know what could be wrong.

I've had the same issue, I'll eat a ban for leaving halfway intentionaly but this is out of my controle and is really annoying

Hadn't happened to have it again for while but here is starts again. Now I can't launch the game as it is frozen on downloading content. I know I might as well not even try to log in again because now I am going to be banned again for at least 5 hours. Yoshi please. Fix this crap. Least don't let us get banned after waiting hours to be able to even verify the game to fix it.

Something similar happens to me, i got banned because my game keeps having a problem where it either crashes and every time i try to reconnect to the match it throws me back to the lobby, or the game suddenly throws me into the lobby and when i try to reconnect it throws me back to the lobby. I got a 6-day ban because of something that is literally not my fault...

Having a similar problem, crashes only at the start of matches or atleast 30s have passed. I tried deleting the gamecache file, verifying, switching download location and unistalling.
