Game crashes since "Old gods, new blood" Update

Since the major update "Old Gods, New Blood," I've been experiencing occasional game crashes when trying to join a game and receiving an error message.

(FETAL ERROR: Content file d/program files (x86)\steam\steammapps\common\deadlock\game\citadel\maps\dl_midtown.vpk is corrupt. Verify integrity of game files.)

The first time it crashed, I had to restart my PC before I could verify the game files because nothing happened and it wouldn't start.

The second time, restarting my PC didn't help, verifying the files didn't work either, and I had to download the game again.

Fatal errors keep occurring as of the latest string of updates and they are so random but constant that I am now being restricted from matchmaking for 24 hours due to the crashes making it seem like I am abandoning the match. I don't know what to do, I've cleared steam cache, game cache, reinstalled the game, completely deleted all files and the fatal error midtown.vpk corrupted file keeps booting me off the game. Any one have any advice?

I've tried looking for log files, but there doesn't seem to be any but these crashes are so frequent it makes it very frustrating to play.

No luck yet. The only way I can play a full match is by playing a bot game to ensure I won't crash in a live lobby.

Also, your rig seems stronger than mine; it seems unlikely that we somehow are lacking in hardware?

Update: Fatal Error occurs only in three scenarios; during "loading shaders" once already in hide out, at the actual launch of the game before leaving title screen, or when returning to hideout after a match. This is the case for the last maybe 15 matches I've played... Not sure what that means in terms of me fixing it but maybe it points something out for devs.

I managed to get my game to work at 95% functionality for the past three days by turning off XMP in the BIOS and running my ram at the "auto" setting. Essentially I am underclocking my RAM, I don't know why this works but it seems that DLOCK is pretty sensitive to ram instability. I have only crashed with a fatal error twice after maybe 20 games. Just thought I would share my results.

I'll have to try this as I've been getting the same errors and bans are starting to happen now too.
