FPS Drop Issue with Doorman Ability

Hi everyone,


I’d like to report a performance issue I’ve been experiencing in Deadlock.


When playing using DirectX 11, I normally have very stable performance (around 80–100 FPS consistently). However, I’ve noticed a significant FPS drop when using the Doorman ability to create a door.


Specifically:


  • After placing the door,
  • When I get close to it,
  • And especially when I aim and shoot near the door,

The FPS suddenly drops and the game feels very heavy or sluggish for a brief moment.


It’s not a constant drop — it’s more like a short but noticeable performance spike that makes the game feel stuttery or unresponsive for a second.


Has anyone else experienced this issue on DirectX 11?


System seems stable otherwise, and this only happens in this specific interaction scenario.

Same thing for me, game runs as high as 200+ fps with 99% fps being well above 120. In bigger fights those drop to like 120-140 and 80-100 accordingly.

Today was my first day playing Doorman and currently the last -> as soon as I used any abilities but especially Doors, my FPS drop significantly. Add fighting multiple enemies and I was having below 60 FPS!!!!

Adding to the insult:
  1. FPS drop remained constantly low (45-70 fps) for like 1-2 min after fight was done, doors closed, I went to totally different place on map (can't fight on 60 fps :D)
  2. CPU usage was <50% (3600x), temps were as per usual around 60-65C
  3. GPU usage was <60% (5700xt), temps were as per usual 65-70C
  4. Server status showed that server utilization (I assume how busy your server is) at the point of FPS drop was 35% with peak stated 49%

Basically it seems that there is some issue with game logic as my hardware and your hardware was underutilized.
