Flurry of Fists - Light Melee Item

I don't think this addition would be a good addition, as this will simply be too strong, due to how it will intersect with reloading time and break the balancing between light and heavy. Light may be in a situation where there will be higher dps than heavy.

I kind of like it. should probably be 3200 and have more stats. maybe have a t4 with an interesting passive to upgrade into. I think its probably fair in the melee sense that you should be able to easily parry at least one of the multiple light punches

Perhaps scrap faster melee light swings and instead every second light punch double taps (55% damage each)? It would serve the niche of tapping into light hits, helping to apply on damage effects from items/kit, and building up melee hit stacks? It could perhaps on T4 become a spirit item where you will do %spirit on light melee hits? To encourage escalating exposure purchases?

It's more of an utility purchase that would help melee. I like what I've cooked up.

A fast double light melee does seem cool

I agree with the fast double light melee idea (Maybe just make it do double damage but with a visual flair of some kind so it's clear that the damage is from the item), make it a passive similar to how melee charge has a 25% damage increase on heavies every 8? (not sure) seconds. Increasing light melee speed feels like a bad idea, considering billy already has faster light attacks than the rest of the cast.

I agree that reducing the CD on Light melees is very problematic and that the initial effect is in a weird spot. I don't mind increasing the effect of light melee attacks, but they are also very strong since they are hard to parry and still proc melee effects.

Personally, with the T2 item I would have the passive just make it so that the next time you deal Light melee damage it triggers item and ability effects as if it were a heavy melee attack and give it something like 16-20s CD. That makes it work really well with other melee items as well as melee abilities. Heroes like Calico or Drifter will consider it core where other heroes who can upgrade their melee abilities to Heavy melee (like Billy and Viscous) might pick it up and sell it later).

I would probably then have a T4 upgrade that adds an active that prevents you from getting stunned from light melee attacks for something like 6s. It doesn't do anything for parry preventing the damage, but it makes it so you can spam light melees for a bit and get a bunch of damage with the only fear really being Rebuttal. That also ends up as a decent situational item that has a bunch of synergy with Crushing Fists, though that's a particularly expensive combo.
