Every time I launch the game, all video settings reset to default.

I tried installing mods and edited gameinfo.gi. After that, all my settings started resetting. Then I realized that every time I restarted the game, the settings would reset again. I also got a video.bak file for some reason. So far I edited video.txt and set it to read-only, modified the video.bak file as well neither attempt worked, the only settings that are applied are ones I set on game launch trough steam. These: "-w 1280 -h 720 -vulkan -high -preload -fullscreen" I don’t have autoconfig or anything similar. The settings always go back to the default ones you get after a reset, but they aren’t being written to video.txt or video.txt.bak. They just reset to defaults and don’t save to any configuration file. I was looking trough different forums and sources that could give me an answer, but really found nothing. I also have tried to reinstall game and validate game files, neither helped. Would be grateful if someone could tell me if there is a way to force settings I want to trough game launch on steam or any other way or if there is a way just to fix the settings issue.

Sorry if I missed something here, but isn't setting it to read only what is causing this?

I only set it to read-only after it started constantly resetting, hoping that if I left certain settings in the read-only file, the game wouldn’t be able to change them back to defaults
