In the most recent update, whenever I hover placing his doors it drops my fps to ~30-40, normally I get ~80-120. onced they are placed they are fine, and even when the portal is active I dont have frame drops. I think this may have something to do with the most recent patch removing the ability to place doors behind the side of the veil you cant see through. Hope this gets fixed, and isnt just on my end. Thanks Deadlock team!

I am getting this bug as well, and multiple people i've gotten to test it also report it being like this. It makes the character near-unplayable.

I'll add that this FPS drop only occurs when the blue visual for a valid door placement is on screen, if the door placement visual is not visible, there's no frame drop/ its extremely minimal on red.

same bro I want to play doorman but it's just simply not possible

The file causing the issue is citadel\bin\win64\client.dll. I replaced client.dll, host.dll, and server.dll with the previous depots manifest files (3003774953827025839} and it fixed the issue for me.

How would you go about grabbing those files from previous depots?
If you're down to follow, this is how I got Doorman working in the meantime. Hopefully they update him soon.

Open Steam's developer console, can type this in a browser to open:
*steam://open/console*

Type "*download_depot 1422450 1422452 3003774953827025839*", this will download the previous version of the specific files that got updated. You'll find them in "*"Steam\steamapps\content\app_1422450\depot_1422452\game\citadel\bin\win64"*"

Just in case they were dependent on each other, I took *client.dll*, *host.dll*, and *server.dll*, and replaced them in Deadlocks *citadel\bin\win64*

(if you ever wanna revert the changes, either keep a backup of the original files, or just verify game integrity.)

NOTE: I don't know what other changes were made in these files this update so who knows what you could run into. All I know is it resolved my performance issue with Doorman and I've been able to play multiple games without issue.

The only difference i can see is that the doors isn`t snapping anymore, but it solved the fps issue. I can finaly play him again.

I would assume the reason for the fps issue is that when placing the doors its checking for door placements too much causing the fps issue.
