Deadmock - create mock tooltips for your item and ability ideas

some minor issues i found:

1) names longer than a few characters (ie; cup game or stick fingers) overlap with ability stats on the top bar.
2) values in the ability details section are abbreviated (ie; 1.2s stun becomes 1.. ...) under certain circumstances, this was easy to avoid last update you made but now is very easy to run into
Made some changes to how text overflow is handled so I hope that helps. If you could give me a link to an item or ability that has a rendering issue, I should be able to track it down faster.

I couldn't reproduce that specific issue with long ability titles, the stats row would never overlap with the title text - I'm curious what browser you're using, since the images you upload don't have proper anti-aliasing. I've had the best rendering results in Chrome fwiw.

i use chrome browser, but also lack of antialiasing may be a byproduct of the image editing software i used not the website

So i found another minor issue, when creating abilities with stats directly under the name, you cant add spirit scaling to them. Like wraitth`s full auto has spirit scaling duration, but you can`t make this in editor.

Here's a suggestion, hopefully not too cumbersome? This is a picture of Bebop's gun on the unofficial Deadlock Wiki:1737604652375.png
I'm showing this because I would find it helpful to add something like this, since the little text on the bottom, tags, name and fall-off range explain the uniqueness of the gun outside of just the numbers. If you took a look at just Vyper's and Bebop's gun stats, Vyper's would look absolutely overpowered and Bebop's would look basic outside of the context that this picture would provide. You get what I'm saying?

Would you be able to add the ability to add text boxes below weapons and base stats for heroes? If a character's weapon has a buildup for instance there's no way to indicate that as far as I can see.

If you're interested in alternatives, @Fred_ just posted their Deadlock Graphic Designer project over in the items forum. It's declarative rather than WYSIWYG, which means it can be used in a lot more ways given how prescriptive Deadmock is.

Deadmock seems way easier to use, and it can everything needed for items. If Fred were to incorporate heroes in the way that Deadlock has left some gaps then I think I would use it but currently Deadmock seems better to me.

I put together this WYSIWYG editor so that people could make their suggestions look more professional, and hopefully get a better idea of how their mechanics might be communicated to players. It's not designed for mobile because several elements rely on hover interactions - it still works okay on my phone but YMMV. Generally, if you want to change something, you can click on it.

You can export to a png, and create links to your item/ability in the editor. It keeps a history of the past 10 things you had open, but I'd recommend exporting or saving links if you really don't want to lose something.

Let me know if you have any issues with it or suggestions - you can reply here or file an issue on the Github repo.
This is awesome. One thing that would be nice is the ability to drag and trash components. I found myself wanting to do that and it would feel more intuitive imo. Thanks so much for this

Is this still being supported? The last update was over a year ago. A lot of the icons are outdated and it's lacking the ability to indicate damage that scales with melee.
