Critical Connection and Performance Bug After Recent Update (DirectX & Vulkan)

Hello,
I am writing to report a critical bug that has made the game unplayable since the recent updates. The game was running perfectly smoothly before this patch, but the problem is now getting worse, which is why I am creating a new post.

The issues vary depending on the rendering API:

1. DirectX:
  • I am unable to join games successfully and takes too much to join.
  • The loading screen takes an excessively long time, lasting so long that the game registers me as "failed to connect" and issues an automated matchmaking ban.
  • When this happens, the red "Safe to Leave" alert permanently stays on game screen.
2. Vulkan:
  • I am able to join the server and start a match.
  • However, after approximately 10-20 minutes of gameplay, I experience severe, unceasing lag.
  • The only way to temporarily fix this lag is to disconnect and then reconnect to the game.
  • After reconnecting, the game runs smoothly for another 2-3 minutes before the severe lag returns, forcing me to disconnect and reconnect again. This cycle repeats indefinitely.

Troubleshooting Steps Taken (No Fix):​

  • Multiple Machines: This problem is not isolated to one computer. I am experiencing the exact same issues on all four of my machines (two different laptops and two different PCs).
  • System Resources: This is not a system performance issue. My CPU usage is below 20%, I have ample free RAM, and my GPU usage is very low.
  • Graphics Settings: I tested changing my graphics settings to maximum. This had no effect on the long (DirectX) load times or the in-game (Vulkan) lag.
  • VPN: I tried using a VPN, but it did not resolve the problem. On DirectX, the game still gets stuck on the loading page and fails to connect or reconnect after I get banned.
  • Reinstall: I tried to reinstall the game, but the problems still persist.
  • Verify Files & Move Location: I validated all the game resources and moved the game folder to an SSD, but the problem is still here.
This appears to be a widespread issue affecting many players since the last update. We would appreciate it if the development team could investigate this.
