Bug Report: Game crashes with Error 13 (nvlddmkm) when RTSS OSD is active

Hi Deadlock Development Team,

I would like to report a consistent crash issue in Deadlock caused by a severe compatibility conflict with RivaTuner Statistics Server (RTSS).

Description of the Issue:When playing the game with RTSS On-Screen Display (OSD) enabled, the game suddenly freezes and crashes.Checking the Windows Event Viewer, it logs a critical GPU hardware error pointing to nvlddmkm (Event ID 13), with the description: Graphics SM Global Exception on (GPC 1, TPC 4, SM 0): Multiple Warp Errors.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Launch MSI Afterburner and RTSS (default settings, no overclocking applied).
  2. Launch Deadlock (project8.exe).
  3. Play a match. The game will inevitably crash with Error 13 during gameplay.
Troubleshooting I've Done:

  • I completely disabled all GPU overclocks/undervolts in MSI Afterburner, but the crash still happens.
  • I rolled back my NVIDIA drivers to an older stable version (581.57), but the issue persists. This indicates it's likely a recent game update that broke the compatibility with RTSS injection hooks.
  • I tried using the vulkan api, but encountered severe memory leak issues, so I returned to the default API.
The Workaround / Solution:The ONLY way to prevent the crash is to open RTSS, add project8.exe, set the "Application detection level" to "None"and disable "Show On-Screen DIsplay" . Once the RTSS OSD injection is blocked, the game runs perfectly stable without any nvlddmkm crashes.

It seems the game's rendering pipeline (Source 2) is currently highly sensitive to third-party OSD overlays hooking into it. I hope this detailed information helps the team investigate and fix this conflict in future updates!
