I don’t know what kind of cosmic mistake I made, but every match in Deadlock feels like a punishment for just existing. 15 years of Dota 2 and CS matchmaking development, and this is what I get? My teammates are out here playing like they’ve never seen a keyboard before, wandering around like they’re lost in a shopping mall, ignoring objectives like it’s a side quest
.
How does the matchmaking system look at my hours of pain and suffering and go, “Yeah, you’re good enough to carry these clowns who think holding W is a strategy”? Like, I’m literally playing with people who need to be reminded to breathe. These clowns are out here getting lost on a straight path, and I’m just here trying to carry them like I’m auditioning for sainthood
.
At this point, I’m starting to feel like I’m Hitler’s best soldier out here carrying these clowns on my back like it’s a full time job while chad AFK and Timmy Noaim just vibe and giggle behind my back
.
And here’s the kicker: I’m constantly top 1 or 3 in damage or kills. I’m out here like a one-man army, dropping nukes, carrying the team on my back like it’s the heaviest backpack in history and yet, my MMR is falling, from 2100 to 1400. FALLING. I’m literally carrying these brain-dead clowns, pulling off insane plays, and somehow, the system thinks I’m the problem
.
It’s not even about losing at this point—I’m just trying to finish a game without spontaneously combusting. Every match feels like the Gaben is out here testing my patience, like Deadlock is a training ground for masochism. And I’m the star pupil, apparently, because I’m the only one showing up to the class
.
I’m convinced the matchmaking system is actively trolling me at this point. The dice are rigged, the house is laughing, and my mental state is hanging on by a thread. Am I destined to forever solo-carry these brain-dead NPCs, or is there some secret I don’t know? Honestly, I just want to finish one game without contemplating my life choices. Thx valve for the most leptard matchmaking system ever
