"Can't Join Party Hideout" "Match In Progress" Can't rejoin

For the past 3 weeks, I have been unable to play the game. Whenever I join a party, It kicks me out saying "Cant join party hideout". Then when I find a game, It kicks me out as soon as it starts up and shows a "Match in Progress" status. No matter how many times I try to rejoin, it doesn't connect me.

I have tried:
- Reinstalling the game
- Verifying the integrity of the files
- Changing the steam client services in services.msc to automatic and restarting it
- Changing regions
- Reinstalling steam

Nothing works.

Try selecting 'Sandbox Mode' or 'Explore NYC' from the Play table, and then select 'leave testing' from the escape menu.

I can only play solo matches. after the recent update allowed me to play one match with friends and now the error is back

I've gotten banned 3 times now recently just for this stupid bug. No idea what to do to fix it. I just cannot connect to a match. I load in, i get kicked out immediately, and then i just CANNOT reconnect

EDIT: seemed to have found some hope. dug through a log i saved after getting myself temp-banned (and put into further lower priority) for the 5th time in a row. It seems tied to a VAC issue. "NETWORK_DISCONNECT_STEAM_VAC_CHECK_TIMEDOUT" is the error, but the game says NOTHING about it to you, compared to every other source game (including CS2, on Source 2) telling you "an issue prevents you from blah blah blah"

Running the tried and true SteamService.exe /repair and seeing if that works. Will report back in 8 hours when i wake up and the ban is lifted.

Okay so for me personally. It was an ethernet problem. What I did was go to network adapters under device manager. Right-click on your ethernet that you use and go to power management. Make sure the box that says "Allow this computer to disable this to save power" or something like that is UNCHECKED.

Weeks of hellish torment to figure this out. Sometimes the bug comes back (It evolves, it's sentient I know it is), but just restart your game and it should be fine again

Sadly it worked for a couple hours and now its not working at all again. for me and 2 of my friends this bus has to be fixed

I have this issue now and I am on WiFi, the bug has evolved.

As basic as it sounds, try restarting into a fresh game (Not reconnecting to matches).

What I've found is that if i load into a game but the game doesn't start; for example someone leaves during the match lobby and the game ends. When I try to queue up for another game, the bug comes back. Even if i close out of the game and reconnect, it doesn't work.

So to overcome this, if ever a match doesn't go through when youre waiting in match lobby for the match to start, just restart the game when the match ends and THEN queue. So far, it's worked consistently

Safe to say the Bug has NOT been fixed, just got a 1 day ban with low prio queue. I love when deadlock ragebaits me

Is this specific to UAE ? I think this is a problem with UAE internet, because many UAE players having this issue also ping from Dubai to servers outside uae is very high past few weeks so maybe the Du and e& are having routing issues

It might be cause im in the uae rn but when i join people who live in EU the bug doesnt even exist. but we cant change servers so theres no fix sadly
