Like at all. I don't see how it helps to put people who are playing for the first time or have never played video games at all in the game with significantly more competent players.

I have my own complaints about matchmaking but there’s also the reality that this is a closed test with an extremely limited number of players.
If you’re struggling to get a footing in PvP games, you might try some bot games for a while to learn the mechanics and try out builds to get a handle on things. I ended up playing about ~6 hours of just bot games before I started to feel comfortable with player games.

The game throws you into a match straight away, there is no waiting period. Most of my games are one-sided stomps, with one of the teams getting stomped and farmed, people rage quitting, afking, etc.
Perhaps, locking the main game mode behind several mandatory bot games would help. I feel like lots of people who got into the beta will quit and never return after getting stomped.
