Banned for application not responding

Some things I do want to preface

1. I do use a VPN, I know they don't effect Steam, but it probably effects my connection. From now on, I'll turn it off when playing Deadlock even though it wasn't always an issue until recently.

2. I did also get banned because I set my device's date into the future for a different game and I forgot to switch back which is an error I learnt from. I bring this up because that probably a factor the length I was banned for this time

Anyways, I was queuing for a game and when the game was beginning to load, the Deadlock application stopped responding, I waited for it to go back to the Hideout and when I got back, I was not only banned for 24 hours, but also put on low priority for "leaving matches early".

I've been seen and heard from a friend that a lot of people are having this issue as well, but I'm giving my story as a means of appeal as well since this is a wrongful ban and so this has a chance of being fixed.
