Baker [Tankbuster - Infestation - Body Horror]
ADVANTAGES: Built-in percentage damage and antiheal.DISADVANTAGES: Low mobility; two stamina. Prone to getting run down without their ultimate.
Weapon - Preheater [Rapid Fire - Mid Range]
A deeply messy gun that fires a wide spread of fast bullets.Abilities
(1) Writhing Dough
Throw out a bread ball full of bugs, dealing an initial explosive hit before firing shrapnel that applies continual spirit damage and anti-heal to enemies nearby. Enemies with max OPENED take additional percentage damage.[+1] Reduce cooldown.
[+2] Continual damage slows enemies.
[+5] Increased spirit and percentage damage.
(2) Grain Silo
Open up an expanding whirlpool in the ground, slowing enemies standing in it and pulling them towards its center. Enemies with max OPENED are stunned if they touch the center.[+1] Enemies take a burst of spirit damage on touching the center.
[+2] Reduce cooldown.
[+5] Reduces bullet res and spirit res of enemies while they stand in the whirlpool.
(3) Open Up [PASSIVE]
Your bullets deal OPENED to enemies, making them take extra spirit damage from your abilities. Max OPENED activates extra effects to your abilities.[+1] Debuff builds faster and drains slower.
[+2] Gain Spirit Lifesteal on enemies with max OPENED.
[+5] Enemies with max OPENED are revealed on the minimap and can be seen through walls.
(4) Infest
Can only be used on enemies with max OPENED. Dive into the target (a la Rem), dealing percentage damage while you're inside. Once you're forced out, Infest remains useable on different targets for 5 seconds.[+1] Heal 20% of damage dealt during Infest.
[+2] Reduce cooldown and increase cast range.
[+5] Can be used on enemies with any level of OPENED; enemies with max OPENED are stunned on use.
Background
When a ravenous mass of parasites charges headfirst into getting its next meal without any tact, it ends up squished without a second thought. The collection naming itself "Baker" is smarter than that. The only thing hungrier than parasites are people- feed them bread, writhing and infested, and not a single eye on the outside will be able to notice.Baker's restaurant was shut down in less than a day. The banquet was pulled away just as it began. Lesser parasites would shrivel up at such an occurrence, but no, not Baker; that restaurant would be reopened, by any means necessary.
Bread must be baked. People must be fed. Parasites must be spread.
Character Interactions
- Wants to eat most characters, but Mo, Seven, Victor, and Viscous in particular.
- Resents Haze, Grey Talon, Shiv, and The Doorman, seeing them all as involved with those responsible for getting their restaurant shut down. This is not true for any of them. Especially not The Doorman, who is only included for "looking too fanciful."
- Thinks Billy and Silver's fur would be a great place to hide away if necessary.
- Views Calico, Celeste, Mina, and The Doorman as "not eating enough." Respects Drifter, Dynamo, Kelvin, and Mo for the opposite.
- Laments the fact that they cannot eat Dynamo. Really wants to help him get his body back.
- Respects Infernus as a fellow restaurateur-adjacent.
- Thinks Sinclair are "a lesser parasite who cannot achieve harmony amongst themselves." Is not necessarily wrong.
Additional Notes
A hunter who drains enemies down and sets the stage for allies to finish them off- to the point of becoming invincible but relatively inactive during their ultimate.SPECIAL INTERACTIONS:
- An allied Rem using Tag Along will be forced out of Baker when they use Infest.
- An enemy Rem that uses Tag Along while Infested will continue to remain Infested.
- An enemy Sinclair who copies Infest will be able to ignore the OPENED conditionals, but deals reduced damage.
