I'm at Ascendant 3 and getting shoved into ORACLE lobbies being forced to carry against 5 stacks.

What the actual fuck is going on with the matchmaking? This is miserable for all parties involved. I just want to play with and against players at my skill level.

Why am I playing in a lobby that is ELEVEN skill divisions lower than my current ELO and being forced to hard carry in solo queue against a premade stack? This is pure engagement optimized matchmaking.

@Yoshi You might as well remove the rank emblems completely and just go full RNG as there won't be a discernable difference at this point.

Obvious smurf (ibugooning) in the lobby. Account created around roughly 3/21/26. Fresh Smurf detection needs to weigh harder on matchmaking. In any case, would be cool to see the account banned.

Also, I see this as a failure of the party queue mechanic. Party queue is ruining the match quality here by dragging the expected MMR of the smurf even lower (the smurf is partied with the viper). In the lobby, I am Oracle 5, and there's no way the expected MMR of this smurf is Oracle 5. They switched into another lane, and it made the match unwinnable. In the event of a party queue, you should force the party to face higher skilled opponents. Even if the Viper is Archon, it should favor the higher MMR of the duo and try to place them against a phantom 5+ lane and higher skilled opponents across the board. If the smurf has not been correctly placed in Ascendant, then I suppose the problem is entirely smurf detection based.

This person is still actively ruining matches. Using a smurf to queue with an oracle and ruining match quality.

Same here. Not fun to play in an E6 lobby when you suck and people think you're wintrading when you're not on the level they are. Especially since in higher ranks the divisions do matter.

Victor plays like garbage in the lane. Runs at the enemy to feed when wave is at our guardian then when im setting up kills he doesnt react. Farms 90% of the game and has 0 impact. It's not even that hes bad with the hero hes just a really low skill player I dont know how he got into an emissary 6 game. Playing with players this bad every single game who are on new steam accounts and have no idea how to play make this game really unenjoyable

Celeste was also playing on a brand new account and sat at the corner of the map for almost 30 minutes with 2 kill participation. He turned it up towards the end so I'm guessing he might be a high rank smurf playing with his 2 shitter friends and they got put into a game they have no business being in. I can't tell if hes high rank smurfing or just incredibly bad like the other 2

Ivy also did absolutely nothing

Enemy just went mid as 6 at like minute 10 and our allies neither pushed nor defended which instantly told me my team is straight garbage. Felt like playing uphill all game and everyone on the enemy team is flourishing or at least not as much deadweight as the 3 on our team


All in all incredibly unejoyable game because my team showed nothing in terms of skill or reason why they would ever in a million years be in an emissary 6 game. Or maybe I'm in the wrong rank. Idk why I'm being chained to this terrible rank because I like to expirement with a wide hero pool

You have to reset the rank system. You just defaulted to putting everyone in oracle. This holiday may have hit 10 shots all game.

The Drifter is a smurf with 34 kills. The game's matchmaking is fundamentally broken. Matchmaking in its current state isn't fun or playable. I feel like no matter what I do I have next to no agency to influence the outcome of my matches. The game has no competitive integrity.

A completely pointless match. The skill gap between players was huge, and the outcome was basically decided by experience differences—clearly visible in things like builds and farming efficiency.

While the enemy team kept farming and actually trying to play the game, my teammates—who were obviously inexperienced—just gave up and started buying items that made no sense for the situation.

You can’t really blame them for not knowing what to do, but they shouldn’t be placed in matches at this level in the first place. I doubt they’re having any fun dying 10 times without getting a single kill or being completely unable to interact with the opposing team.
