Hello,

I'm writting this post because I'm put in Oracle 1 matches while playing new Heros for the first time and get my ass handed to me. Why ?

Because I was Ritualist at Max when playing my main . And now I find myself in Oracle lobby (don't know why) and lose every-single-time. Can I come back to Ritualist please

Two extremely unpleasant matches where there was no coming back, the game was extremely lop-sided and unpleasant from the beginning. Especially in the top on there was almost a 100k soul lead for the enemy team, which felt like it shouldn't be possible at all.

Emissary 2 for the enemy team and Ritualist 5 on our team; I was Ritualist 4 during this match.
We had two people who contributed nothing. I assumed I was the lowest elo on my team and it gave us higher ones to balance it out, but the results speak for themselves.

I don't even understand why the game thought this was a fair matchup, I wasn't even on a winning streak. For games with wider matchmaking like this we shouldn't lose rank, especially if you didn't do bad.

The silver just kinda fed all game and was way overextended the entire time, Apollo was just having a hard time.
The three of us were all playing properly and doing well, but two dead weights made it impossible to win against a team that was all performing well.

Invested approx 50-60h lately and went from Initiate to borderline Alchemist 1.

Honestly what I see is somehow bigger discrepancy despite of much longer queue times (Initiate took less then 2 min usually to start the game -> now it regularly takes 3-5 despite me adding 3 more heroes to legend pool of mine).

Also there are much more games where people somehow play like bots = worse than I have ever seen in Initiate level. Meanwhile better players are significantly better = more coordinated, advanced movement starts to appear regularly, much better accuracy.

And finally it is sad to see so many players who get triggered by comms - you asking to change lanes because one is weaker than other, not to lose them all, or suggest some tactics and getting instant "stfu" messages or voice comms. So much less was present in lower ranks. Not sure how in Beta testing community is already so typical of Overwatch or Apex aka hero ball + any communication in soloq triggers rage and brainless comments.

p.s. I was made aware of option where you can choose more competitive queue -> somehow after ticking that I feel like I get put in games where game expects me to carry bots vs actually putting me in overall more competitive teams. Maybe a bug.

you can literally just look at my account and see how ass the matchmaking is. my friend has like 12 games played and is emissary, i have over 100 with close to 50% win rate and im alchemist 4. I STARTED SEEKER 1 BTW. i consistently derank but it takes multiple wins in a row to even rank up. i am consistently top of my team regardless of losses. its kinda a joke that im outperforming my team everygame yet they get their shit pushed in. game feels like hot ass to play.

I tried to carry with haze and didnt even stand a chance at winning. Awful matchmaking.

Dear Yoshi, I rarely complain about the match making because I know the game is still in development. But these past few days, the match making has been very miserable, all of the games that I've played has 10k souls gap at 15 mins. It's really un-enjoyable playing this type of matches

It's so sad... I really hope they fix this, I want to play the game and I enjoy it - but in it's current matchmaking state it's quite literally unplayable. And I mean that in the truest sense, if I was AFK and not playing the game I'd have the same impact on the game given the lobbies I'm being put in.

That's not how this works.
If he doesn't perform he shouldn't be stuck in Ritualist, he should go lower into a rank where he is with players of EQUAL skill.

This is the problem the game has. If you don't perform you're stuck in the new inflated ranks and it refuses to demote you, so NO-ONE gets a fair lobby.

Is there something wrong with the MM right now (today)?

I've had games where my team won't push, or they will go 0-15 and then say "sorry it's my first game".

Then I've gone to a few streams were people are talking about having a similar experience (teammates that are new to the game), and also seen some streamers get teammates that go 0-10 with little assists (meaning they aren't actively participating).

It just feels odd.

Yes. Very wrong. It happened around 9th Feb when they had an update and everyones ranks got inflated. People who were lower skilled and in comfortable ranks have been pushed into stupid ranks they don't belong.

A *real* example of this is I was in bottom 5% of players (that's okay, I was learning the game!) but NOW I've been pushed into bottom 25% of players (which, is a 5x improvement!) The issue is, I didn't get 5x better over-night, but the lobbies I've been placed into are.

So what do you expect happens? That's right. I get outclassed every game and destroyed. Because, again, I am a bottom 5% player (I'm still learning the game!!!) and EVEN WORSE the game refuses to demote me back to that rank!!!

It's insanity. And unplayable.

Whatever was done to the ranks has majorly screwed things up. I have nearly 150 hours in the game and I'm apparently in Emissary IV which doesn't sound right to begin with, but as it turns out at least the Haze and the Silver on my team were only starting the game!! Haze had about 20 hours, the Silver had about 40 I believe- and they said they had both been placed in Archon somehow? None of it computes. I'm not trying to say "oh my team sucks that's why I lost" because I don't think I should be in Emissary either, but also I definitely should not be paired with players who just started out?
