Bad Matchmaking Thread

I'm 1500hours in and maximum I reached is Emissary which didn't lasted for long when latest patch arrived because I kept having teammates that were playing the game for the first time. I'm stuck in low elo forever. Ranking up is a BIG FAT JOKE.

Im at the same hours, once you break 1k hours it becomes insanely obvious that YOU have ZERO impact on the outcome of the game. I also got to the top of emissary, then it just forces you to lose infinitely, lets you win one or two, then more forced losses.

Its insanely obvious that the wins/losses are forced. Look at the player tracking stats as well, you can see very clearly the only "algorithm" they have in place, is to force people as close to 50/50 win/loss as possible.

The developers really do not care at all, the game is basically completely worthless at this point, just tons of smurfs. I used to get 1 or 2 out of 5 games that were anyones guess, now i get like literally 1 in 100 games where it feels balanced.

Absolute garbage.

Yeah. And if you make a new account with 0 games in Deadlock you'll be put straight into Archon, win 3 matches and you go straight into Oracle.

its the same shit as it was 5 months ago where 80% of the players were in ritualist, but now with even more pathetic smurfs in every game.

Figure this shit out already it's been 2 years and almost every game is dogshit and completely unfun regardless of what side of the win or loss you're on.

I disagree. I was stuck in Ritualist for a while until I found a character I could determine fights with. Then games turned into stompfests which I have a post about above. However I spent about 60 games between Ritualist and Archon with a currently %76 percent winrate which should NOT happen. People should be put in their respective ranks as soon as possible to lower the percentage of one-sided matches.
Keep in mind that most people here had their souls ripped from their body because of cheaters/smurfs and do not represent the larger playerbase.
PS: Cheaters are generally of lower intellect (have bad positioning, overextention or low map presence) so you can shut them down by avoiding them most of the match, farming and/or with curse if the game goes long enough.

Warden, Billy, and Pocket were a trio and possibly smurfing, Bebop is in Arcanist. 72k soul lead with 40 more kills than the us, almost double total damage. Warden and Billy both died once. Me and the other people on my team were not prepared to play against a team like this at all.

2nd time as Wraith and I'd rather have longer queue times than go up against that. I just want matches that are equal to my skill level, I really don't like that it seems as though the game will pull in one or two vastly superior players to raise a low team up. I also don't think a trio should go into a game with other solos.

Played a Phantom V average lobby yesterday with a Haze that had to read on Vyper Lethal Venom ability to know what it did after I asked him why he went close to Vyper with ~20-25% HP and died. But you know, third highest tier out of 11 and you don't even know abilities seems fair.

At this rate, 100% YUP.

They'll launch the game, with the current matchmaking system, and paster it all over stream and gaming siting. Pay to have a bunch of articles written about it. The player count will skyrocket to over 200-250k+, this will "balance" matchmaking for about 3-5 weeks.

Once the novelty wears off and all the "trying a new thing/common" players stop playing it will quickly become completely hell. About another 3-4 weeks. Everyone still playing will start to complain more and more. By the start of month 3, maybe 4, the player base will start to die rapidly and within 6 months we will be right back to this exact moment of matchmaking.

Where every match has 1-4 smurfs and team stacks (plus actual cheaters, because this issue will never actually get solved)

Within 12 months of launch everyone is forget about this game (but die-hards) unless there is some sort of huge update which stream will paster all over the main page and gaming sites to try to generate returning and new players.

Then it will be like 40-60k player base with barely 15-25k active players a week, with random content updates pushing it to maybe 80-100k for a week or two. And each fall off from content updates will lower the active players by 3-5k until there is only a community of sweats, smurfs and cheaters.

Cheers. You've built a literally dead game, and a majority of your player base understands this.

This game is literally turning me into a paranoid schizoid, I see smurfs and cheaters everywhere, I will need mental help.
Games are so un-enjoyable I've started to only play PvE and ignore the PvP aspect, i just bumrush objectives and itemise for speed/escape, fuck cheaters and smurfs in ass so damn much, I wont give them a single second of attention.

I went from Oracle I to Emissary * in like week. Matchmaking from like end of December is getting worse. Teams are so uneven or there's like 1 player just snowballing. I don't even say anything about cheaters, Chinese players on EU servers etc.

I think they actually encourage it to be honest. Every game, they've ever made? Valve games a literally famous for allowing hackers and smurfs.

Lost 9 out 10 games, always against smurf and hackers stacks. Won the 10th as a forced win. Still would have lost the 10th if MM hadn't stacked the team comp against the enemy. Whole enemy team were level 0 stream accounts set to private.

I understand that my Yamato is lower than my other mains but Oracle players should NEVER get put in an emissary lobby. I'd rather have 10 minute searches between matches then having to deal with these types of games.

Edit: match found with "extra competitive" checked as well. Thought that would tighten the matchmaking criteria, not widen it.
