Bad Matchmaking Thread

49358845 apparently these two teams were the same rank which i just do not believe, something went horribly wrong here, maybe you have to investigate someone doping or something

Average ranks were Ascendant 4 vs Eternus 5. The ability to swap lanes causes unbalanced laning, where a top 10-20 player can lane against a much less skilled player.

I love this game i really don't mind the matchmaking I'm sure once the game comes out it will be fantastic i hope my issue comes to help out the game. DONT LISTEN TO THOSE TROLLS this game is not even complete yet it feels much more complete then some other fully released tittles.

It seems the matchmaker is throwing me around maybe because its the time and shortage of players. i wouldn't mind waiting a bit longer to be matched with people to my rank i rather wait to have a consistent gameplay, its also kind of cool to be tested at different levels but a little daunting.

Really badly skewed MMR. Im at Archon 2 and I've got a team mate at Alchemist 1. That's a 26 rank difference and it showed. They had 8 deaths by 20 minutes and there were two others on my team with 10 and 9 deaths by the same time.

No map awareness, just walk down lane and press M1. Really no idea how you can have such a disparity in the ranks of individual players.
 
I have never seen a game balanced so terribly.

There is zero logic to the match making.

The developer in charge of match making is braindead.

Lets make 7 matches in a fucking row, where the opposing team is all high rank sweats, and everyone on my team is brain dead first time playing the game. SEVEN IN A ROW.

Worthless developers. Zero sense in forcing shit like that.
 
49388359 team spent more time dead than alive, they actually would have played better afk or as bots. Could not get a single guardian. They died 40 times in 10 minutes, game over by 15 minutes. A brain dead person could probably be better
 
First, I want to apologize for not including a match ID as requested in the main body of the thread. Second, I want to say that matchmaking feels like I am only queuing up to lose with little to no way to turn the tide of battle, and if I am winning, it is because the enemy team is experiencing the former of what I just typed.

One side is consistently the "avalanche" or "landslide", and there is no in-between even if one split-pushes or grabs the urn while four to five of them are elsewhere. It just delays the inevitable—especially so with the lopsided team compositions that the matchmaker puts together.

It used to not be like this after the Six Heroes Update, and I assume before then as well, but I hope matchmaking will improve for us to feel the thrill of tense battles, close calls, and proper "tug o' wars" again where comeback mechanics are more impactful and not easily prevented by the enemy team.

At the moment, all we can hope for is that the enemy team makes repeated grievous mistakes.

It won't change, this is basically how every valve game works. It has been like this for about two years and went off a cliff last September 2024 when they changed the MM skill curve. They won't do anything about smurfs or hackers. They won't actually work on the popular heroes because they are popular. We have at least 3 more weeks of this meta/patch until another one might be dropped. But it won't change anything about matching making. Team comp's alone aren't even right
