Bad Matchmaking Thread

I'm done with this game until there's a matchmaking update, it's like it's purposefully trying to rank me down. Matches without allies going like 1/12 are a miracle now and even when it happens they're still behind enough that whoever beat them starts destroying the other lanes. This is crazy, I'm not having fun anymore.

Hello, by any chance is it possible to know why I got permanent ban? It is certainly not for cheats. I have 2000 games and low eternus rank, really love this game deeply im heart. I cant think of reason why I got immediate permanent ban without prior warning (like temporary ban).

Sorry guys just checked and matchmaking is still shit.... 47832139. I think the problem is you're working on averages in a team game. Having one good player and a group of noobs doesn't work the way you slow clapping pat on the own back devs think...

@Yoshi took a 3 day break and came back to another amazing shit matchmaking update. yall be doing anything but to investigate the matches and matchmaking right? 2 matches in a row and my gosh, my previous post is still right on how only 1 or 2 people in my team will only be positive and the enemy will have at least 5 and above. both games my whole team is negative. what in the fuck is wrong with your matchmaking. first game, got enemy lash called billy east, performed well. next game he came into my team and did fuck all. the abrams and bebop were my team the first match and you decided lets pair us again and what did you fucking think was going to happen. you have 20k current players but the fact i got 2/20k in the same 2 game is a 0.001%. Thank you for changing the game but not the matchmaking. I feel so blessed like many others. you have helped made my last 16 matches into only 2 that are wins. keep it up @Yoshi i will continue writing in this thread until you fucking fix your dogshit matchmaking.

This game is dead it's unreal. It's already like CS2 full of cheaters from shithole countries just wintrading and talking with each others like it's normal.

At this point Valve is allowing cheats in their games.

Use this thread to share matchids for games that you think the matchmaker did a bad job at. If you can explain what you felt was a problem in it that would be helpful as well.

Do not post matchids for games that were within the past 24 hours from this post. Games older than that are fine and games going forward are fine.

Hi every one,
I have small suggestion about the way that the kills and assists are calculated upon my observations in games.

Observation: If one in my team or the enemy have small number of kills people start shit talk that player and blame them for the lose, some times he actually didn't perform good but some time he did but he didn't get the final hit on the enemy hero, and this create unhealthy and hostile environment.

solution: Create a new stat the called a 'Final hit' and it replace the previous kill stat, and the kills now if you help with the damage on an enemy hero, and the assists if you helped with the kill without a damage (for the related items/hero stacks that rely on the kills convert them to the final hit for the balance).

Conclusion: Still have the calculations for the times and hero stacks, and the player doesn't feel useless if they don't kills, and we have good environment after all.

Skill level in matchmaking is all over the place. There seem to be new players placed way too high in rank. I just had my first Archon game where suddenly most of the people were rather new, Bebop was on his third game (his own words), and nobody knew what to do or which objectives to go for.
The weird thing is that my previous game had people with 300+ hours who actually played well, but now it feels like some kind of bug is placing completely new players way too high. My higher-rank matches were honestly easier than the lower-rank ones. Low to mid ranks feel completely broken skill-wise right now.

There needs to be some work done to placement games.

Another example: look at what Mirage built, obviously a very new player. The higher I go, the more I run into players like this. There really needs to be a better placement system. If someone is new and gets lucky with a few early games where their team carries them, they end up placed way too high even with builds like these. It’s just not fun when you’ve invested a lot of hours into the game, and experiences like this start to undermine the whole ranked experience. It's just a coinflip who ends up having the new player way up their rank.
