Use this thread to share matchids for games that you think the matchmaker did a bad job at. If you can explain what you felt was a problem in it that would be helpful as well.
Do not post matchids for games that were within the past 24 hours from this post. Games older than that are fine and games going forward are fine.
Thanks for the help" Hey Yoshi i love your game, and I'm knew to moba style gameplay and I'm not great the fps genre but I'm pretty passionate about deadlock because I think with enough time it's well rounded enough for alot of different gamers to find and entry point and get better.
Matchmaking makes it almost impossible to solo-queue. You get teams of Alchemists vs full teams of Ritualists, or a stacked group of Orcal players against randoms. Here are three examples, but the pattern is the same: you’re being thrown into lopsided matches.
Losing to a better team is fine — that’s part of PvP — but should a Seeker 4 player really lose rank because they got matched against a coordinated team of high-ranked Orcal players? The implementation feels lazy at best.
If longer queue times are required for proper matching, then use longer queues. Balance the win/loss penalties so players aren’t punished for matches they realistically cannot win.
Facing better players occasionally is good; it shows you what you still have to improve. But when it’s constant — when it takes 4–5 wins to gain one rank, and only 1–2 losses (against opponents 4–5 ranks higher) to lose that same rank — you’re actively driving away potential long-term players.
Yes, losing is part of PvP, but players also need winnable games and the space to learn. Right now the system is built to fail, and it will shrink the playerbase over time. If that’s the goal, then this matchmaking is absolutely on track.
