Bad Matchmaking Thread

Why are this wraith and haze and seven in my bracket just give them a queue with random names and all bots there's no way they could win anyway
Don't let them into my games to ruin them.

Wraith AFK
Haze worse than bot
Seven had 1 ult this game

i like the game a lot, but lately the quality of the matches i play is making me abandon the game.

8th loss in a row. At this point I just have a masochist fascination with how bad the matchmaking is. Infernus and I are carrying the rest of our team, while the other team is pretty well balanced. Why are certain players constantly matched with poor teammates? There's got to be some kind of algorithmic reason, it can't be this bad of luck every time. I'd love to know the algorithm. Please tell us what it is. By the way, I've tumbled down to Arcanist 2, which means the players on my team for this match are, on average, ranked HIGHER than me. Please consider resetting ranks regularly again. Match ID: 35741920

These games happened back to back. In a party with both tomciv20 and MarshMellowStar. First game felt ridiculous, I could tell by lane that the grey talon and calico could very well be in ascendent or eternus and felt nearly unkillable by 10 min. Second game was better but still on the backfoot most of the time.

Use this thread to share matchids for games that you think the matchmaker did a bad job at. If you can explain what you felt was a problem in it that would be helpful as well.

Do not post matchids for games that were within the past 24 hours from this post. Games older than that are fine and games going forward are fine.

Thanks for the help

d2.PNGd3.PNGD1.PNGI’d like to report a recurring matchmaking issue I’ve encountered recently. In match ID 35722590, my rank was Seeker, but we were matched against opponents of Emissary rank. Although we won the match, the skill gap felt extremely noticeable and odd.

This isn’t an isolated case — this kind of unbalanced matchmaking has happened several times, and it seems to occur only when I team up with my friend. My friend recently returned to the game after several months of inactivity, and ever since we started playing together, we’ve consistently been matched with extremely high-ranked opponents, making the experience feel unfair and frustrating.

I think this might be the GENUINE worst fucking match I've ever had in this game. We could barely do anything without the enemy team annihilating us. Yamato/Geist/Vindicta hard carried a lot of the match. and I'm surprised the enemy team didn't beat us way earlier. PLEASE FOCUS ON FIXING THE MATCHMAKING I BEG OF YOU. I have never seen a game with matchmaking so abysmal that you'd probably have more fun doing taxes. [ID: 35751934]

i took break since last october ~ oracle now im getting matched in bottom 1% matches leading to matches with huge skill disparities
its super unfair from enemy perspective ive had multiple games since returning where people claim to be really new(not sure on validity)
although it usually feels fine even in games testing new builds i feel like perhaps i sometimes run into this issue, my guess is the big break made elo decay indefinitely meaning i decayed way too far but idk how it works on backend maybe recalc of backend elo rating after large breaks?

I've now lost 12 games in a row. I have dropped to Arcanist 1. The average level of the players on this team is 3 levels above me. I farm souls a lot but I don't steal camps from my own teammates. Trophy Collector gives me quite a lot of souls per second by the end. I push lanes a lot because my teammates don't. I generally know when to run away and when to press the advantage. How is it that for 12 games in a row, my teammates pick bad battles, die constantly, push too far, don't collect enough souls, but the other team does well enough to win? Am I a scientific marvel of bad luck? Match ID: 35766188

Every single person on the enemy team had more kills than deaths. I was the only one on my team. Again, my current rank is 3 levels below the average level of this team. Match ID: 35782006
