$800 Spirit Cover - a vitality item that reduces spirit damage if it's smaller than a certain amount (needs testing or can be increased with level), by 40%.
- this item is supposed to counter an "infernus with aimbot" type of enemy
- also helps with things like toxic bullets, tesla bullets, mirage, mcginnis and her turrets, geist and her point and click succ, seven ult, vindicta crow, and other abilities that need 0 brain power to be landed and create toxic spitit meta

$1600 Сumulative Ward - a vitality item that halves 1 instance of big spirit damage (based on a certain amount, like, 250 damage, needs testing), has a long cooldown. Can be upgraded into spellbreaker
- this item is supposed to counter a "talon with aimbot" type of enemy
- YES, we have spirit shielding, but spirit shielding is not actually protecting you from spirit damage, if just protects you from whatever comes after. Some guys like Gray Talon won't even notice it.

These two items will help players to counter-build early easy-to-apply-dots and all kinds of nukes while not gaining actual spirit resistance. I also belive that we need cheap protection for spirit, because spirit damage is just requiers much less skill to land in general.
 
Spirit Cover may also be upgraded into a 3200 item "Spirit Fortress" - "reduce all instances of spirit damage by a small flat amount"
 
That's just a bunch of cheap, but overpowered items.

First item just kills any damage over time/continiously taken damage. With Spirit Resilience you would become almost immune to spirit damage.

"Infernus with aimbot" should be countered by in-game report if he really has some. Otherwise, that's skill issue.

The damage of these items isn't small in many cases. Some of them even depend on enemy's health.

They can be easily landed, but an opportunity for that requires some thinking.

Second item makes Spellbreaker to be non-relevant. Why would I pay price of Tier 4 item, when I can buy a little bit downgraded item for 4 times cheaper?

The same solution as with "Infernus with aimbot".

Counterspell is way to go.

As they easy to apply, they're easy to get rid of.

The entire post doesn't make any sense. We already have many viable counters to everyone and everything.
 
Personally i would rather we have a tier 3 green item that every time you take spirit damage you gain spirit resist or resistance to that ability damage in particular stackin up to a certain ammount making it a powerfull tool agaisnt dots, i do believe we need an anti dot item but the way its put up in this post is not the way to go about it

As for the anti burst there is plenty of options, spirit shielding doesnt protect you from the initial damage however it gives you a large ammount of shield right after the burst so its unlikely for you to die on top of giving you 2,5 out of combate regen ajd move speed so its a especially good early game option

Counter spell is used to actually bloco the initial damage just need timing

Spell breaker protects from bursts of damage and all other damages with 25% resist on top of the effect
