I don't think that would need to be prevented.
Though the shields should be on a passive with a cooldown right?
This seems like a good item. The only real reason I wouldn't say this should be implemented is that it would conflict with my own version of Zipline items that I've drawn up.

Yes definitely a cooldown on the passive. Perhaps the passive could also be replaced with "Charges X Bullet/Spirit shield per second while on zipline" so just tapping the zipline for free shield won't work, but if you travel at least some distance to get where you're going, you'll accrue a noticeable shield.

There's been a ton of concepts on this board for a zipline item, and every single one of them hasn't impressed me. I don't think there's gonna be any situation where spending souls + a slot on an item that benefits zipline riding is ever going to be a better purchase than an item that gives damage, resistance, utility, or anything.

I really like that idea.
Maybe instead of "+200 Bullet and Spirit shield on dropping from the Zipline" it could be
+150 Bullet and Spirit Shield
Shields recover 100% faster while you are on the zipline, and instantly fully recover when you use your Zipline boost.
