I turned off my mods and tested it in sandbox and that's actually what it sounds like. This seems bugged, it's like 10dB louder than it should be. I've never seen any posts complaining about it, and I certainly don't remember it being this loud, so I can't imagine it's always been this loud.

I don't have this issue so I can safely assume it's related to you moding the game.

Just one of many reasons people should play the game the developer is making instead of trying to cheat and fuck around with shit.

The only "cheat" that is from a mod is the one that makes the melee sound louder, because that's basically the limit of deadlock mods, you can change the model, or you can change the sound. You're either having a shitfit about sound settings, or you're thinking of config files, which are not a mod.

League literally has riot-sponsored streamers using custom model mods with zero issues. It's only Deadlock where the drones get into uproars over funny mods like this, weirdly enough. Getting rid of anyone's ability to replace Abrams with Mundo would make Valve a total laughingstock and be pretty anti-consumer once you think about it.

The highlighting "mod" is a configuration file, you could do it with console commands in the vanilla game, the file just runs the commands when you start the game.

Did they teach you to look at the actual game before having an opinion? I assure you, it's a thing in every moba. In dota that would be, Mirana, Tusk, Vengeful Spirit, Nyx Assassin, Batrider. I don't play League but I know those supports can hit fat numbers so I'm sure one of them does that at the ADC. In Deadlock, that would be Sinclair, Holliday, Mo And Krill and The Doorman.
