Weird mouse DPI issues in game

Hi all,

I'm expeireincing a weird issue in Deadlock. Well, i think it's in deadlock because i haven't seen it happen in desktop.

Specifically, the issue i'm facing is that randomly my aim inputs seems to be slowing down significantly, as if the mouse has suddently dropped in DPI, and then goes back to normal after a couple secs, sometimes costing me in a fight, but more annoying than ruining my games.

I haven't been able to replicate it myself, and i've tried moving my mouse whilst pressing all the keys i normally press with no dice (like ctrl, shift, etc).

As mentioned, i haven't observed this happening in desktop, and deadlock has taken over my life so i haven't really played any other games to test it in. Wondering if this is something others are experiencing?

I have a logitech g502 x lightspeed wireless thats 2.5 years old, and i do use logitech g hub. I actually created a seperate profile for deadlock, and unbound dpi up, dpi down, switch profile, the 'sniper button' and really any other button i don't use to try to fix it with no luck.

It's a really strange one, and the 'slow downs' will continue happening for the few seconds even if i fully let go of all keys on my keyboard. Really strange behaviour. Pehaps Yoshi added a new item called the 'aim screwer' lmao.

This may seem strange, but do you have pets? I have many and hair gets everywhere. I was noticing a somewhat similar issue and I couldnt figure out what it was. I looked at my mouse and where the optical laser/light comes from has an opening that can still allow/trap debris in there. While hard to notice at first I was able to get a surprising amount of dog/cat hair out and it started behaving like normal again!!! It could be unrelated, but given the fact you only play Deadlock (same here) maybe it just hasnt been caught yet.

I don't, but i can say that i have tried blowing on the sensor a few times trying to fix the issue, but it doesn't seem to have done so. I also feel like it if was debris or hair it would be more skipping/erratic bevaiour rather than feeling like a solid constant dpi reduction. Appreicate it though, I'll try maybe getting a microfibre cloth to clean the sensor

I see… the only other thing I can think of is maybe the Logitech program is doing something or the driver somehow got corrupted and is causing an issue. Also, I use a mousepad and sometimes if a bit of condensation gets on it, my dpi is way low or will get stuck. Just trying to think what else it could potentially be. I know Razer products allow you to profile your mouse for a mousepad to calibrate it. Not sure if Logitech has that. Could help.

i had an issue with this when i played over watch a couple years ago, i have the g502 as well. the issue was just it turns back into the dpi change button sometimes, no idea why but i was able to fix it by changing it to on board memory (not default binds like if youre out and about with different computers it will keep the same button mapping/settings)
if youre having this issue im sure its something causing it to happen but I was never able to figure it out.

Yeah man, it's strange. What makes it worse is that it kind of just happened out of nowhere. it was fine for ages and it started happening last week
