Viscous redesign suggestion

I made a viscous redesign based on his current in-game design, the design in the game files, few comunity suggestions and my own artistic choices that i feel like fit in well with the game theme.

DESING PROCES

I made him more ocean themed to avoid him being confused as na alien i added in few aquatic details like fins and tentacles that wrap around his body even one of them acting as a way to load ammunition or use abilities, i gave him an old diving helmet i made it older than the year the game takes place in because i figured that if he found it underwater it would be older and a little rusty, and i think it works well as a replacement for the round helmet he has right now and makes him more recognizable than the classic diving helmet that is associated with 40/50's and is less known so people wont confuse him as a ghost of a diver.
I made sure to make him mysterious since he is a psychic sea creature (sea anemone) that lives in the bermuda traingle,
i added blue-ish shades of green since its the color of the souls in the game and he is a psychic. I made his gun a beluga whale (previously a shark but i changed it because of splork and it also adds more asymetry between his arms) and the ult is a pufferifsh (he is either using the souls of sea creatures to execute his abilities, or he just imitates their apearance since he is familiar with them and i think it makes sense that his way of fighting would be influenced by his surroundings), i wrapped a chain around his leg as a reference to ghosts having chains around their ankles since his body is made out of ectoplasm, it also works as a way for him to restrain his spiritual power when he uses his ult and makes it easier to control it and use it more efficently (it also guides the eye across the whole design very well and works as another metalic element that completes the design)
I made his gun and abilities look rather friendly and unthreatening because i think it adds to the comedy of the character and shows the contrast in his personality (if we go with the version that they are spirits they probably are happy to help). I made sure to keep the design rather simple to match the deadlocks way of designing characters and not overshadow his identity as a goo guy. i also made sure that there are different textures that work well together the design is well balanced and shows his role in the team while still remaining the viscous we all know.

This looks so GOOD!
I think your concepts fits better with the time the game takes place in.
Also, you concept to have Viscous shoot from their arm instead of from a gun just makes so much more sense.
 
The diving helmet is a really nice touch, although I like the proportions of the current model more.
A combination of both would be a good choice imo
 
Looks amazing. Hope something like this makes it in. The current viscous design doesnt look that great below the neck imo
