I think his old all black helmet looked way better than all green with 2 little black holes. Now it looks like its incomplete for some reason.

Agreed. They basically put googly eyes on his helmet.

I like that his skeleton is very clear to see, its cool. He seems to be a bit brighter and easier to spot. I like that he has eyes, it makes him more expressive, though they are a little cursed. The way they expand and contract looks mystic and sick.
Generally he looks unfinished, most likely because he is. His head feels like it's lacking something inside. Probably because the bubbles don't have a good bubble shader (yet), it's just a moving texture. Hope to see him become more gooey with goo-physics as well.

Yeah his design was simple but elegant and the intimidating mysterious black helmet with the glowing eyes in the icon was a great juxtiposition to his voice and demeanor, I really think they should change it back.

Also the skeleton kinda ruins the whole "just a blob of goo" thing he has going on and clutters up the design a bit too much
