Verify integrity of the files

Happened plenty of times before, but felt compelled to report this one because I think I found a mitigation?

Description:
Game crashed saying I need to verify the integrity of the files. When trying to restart, the launch is stuck at "Downloading Content" at 0%. This time around, instead of just re-installing:

1. I renamed the game folder from "Deadlock" to "Deadlock2"
2. Uninstalled the game through Steam
3. Renamed the folder back to "Deadlock"
4. Restarted Steam
5. Installed the game, which just triggers the verify files step.

I was able to rejoin the game, but I immediately crashed and caused an abandon I think.
