Uuuuh maybe? I don't think the piercing effect on Domini is related to armor piercing so it shouldn't have a 100% chance to ignore plated armor, and then armor piercing is a 50% chance, so there's like a 12.5% chance of it bouncing.

Well you didn't have the armor piercing bought for your test, but you are correct, it is counting it as an on-hit effect with 50% block chance rather than as a bullet with a 30% block chance, even though only the third stake has an on-hit effect.

well the stakes can pierce thru multiple enemies but can't pierce plated armor. In my mind a ult shouldn't be able to be blocked by a normal passive item

I'm not sure what lead you to believe a person is more bullet resistant than actual armor but I can assure you it makes sense.

I did not mean to say a person is more resistant to to bullets than armor, I meant that the ult has built in ''armor piercing rounds''
Does it? It says blessed damage, meaning it ignores all resistant. However it does not say that it ignores every armour.

It does not, it has a piercing effect, like Doorman's gun, and it has pure damage, which is a third damage type that has no resistances. But it's a good argument for renaming the item now that it conflicts with abilities that are in the game.

Came to report this. It feels...not intuitive...to me that plated armor can block venators ult.
It is the only real defensive item counterplay (aside from counterspell) and still depending on chance.
Very good thing to keep in the game and definitely not a bug
